Fabulous Kit - Great Tutorial!!
I'm so impressed with this kit!Really excellent quality parts with a very comprehensive tutorial pdf download. The ribbon cable fits one way round! It's keyed at both ends but the RPi 5 GPIO is not keyed, so find the end of the cable which, when plugged into the T bar, goes the right way and plug the other end into the RPi.I have the official cooler on my RPi 5 and the cable is a tight fit against the edge of the fan and fins, but adequate contact is made. The kit comes in a nice box complete with a resistor colour code card and a card detailing where to obtain the excellent, bang up to date, tutorial plus product support details. The breadboard is very good quality with the usual paper covered sticky base if required. All components supplied are also great quality, including 1% resistors. This is a very impressive product for the price and the tutorial is very comprehensive, taking the user right through from RPi basics to GPIO programming in Python, C or Scratch.A lot of thought has gone into this product.Thoroughly recommended!

Good value but overkill for an Alexa Raspberry Pi project
I bought this basic GPIO extension board kit to do an Amazon Alexa Raspberry Pi project since it was as close to the basic kit recommended by Amazon (sold in the US but not the UK). I couldn't get the board extension to work, so I used the male-to-female jumper wires to complete the project (as done by a video tutorial by Caroline Dunn for the AlexaPi - Part 2).In hindsight, I could have just bought the CAMJAM Kit #2 for the Raspberry Pi instead - and used the male-to-female jumper wires without the need of the GPIO extension.Anyway, there are many components to do many more projects with the Raspberry Pi, but you have to do some research on the Freenove webiste to get the GPIO extension to work with the version of Raspberry Pi. So it's good value for the money since it's priced about the same as the CAMJAM Kit with less components (and no board extension).I'll eventually get it to work for my current project,... in order to do future projects.

This kit will quickly reach you how to control hardware with Raspberry pi
Great product, was able to get up and running quickly and interface my Raspberry pi with and control external hardware rapidly with this kit.The downloadable tutorials are excellent, circuits easy to set up with lots of detail, pictures, explanations and diagrams on how to assemble them. C and Python source code is supplied also with downloads from git hub.

A good selection of components some a little delicate
Not used in anger but seems ok but need gentle handling

A good starter kit
A good starter kit for the arduino and plenty of tutorials to help you along the way to learning electronics and coding

Some poor quality key items
This kit is centred around the breadboard and the jumper wires. The pins on the jumper wires are very thin - much thinner than the legs on components. They are only just gripped in the various sockets, both on the breadboard and other 3rd party items. The breadboard itself is poorly designed and made and only just makes contact with the jumper wires, or any other wire that isn't held fixed. I spent more time tracking down loose and dead connections than I did making progress.
