Well built. Excellent product.
Well built. Excellent product. Pressure gauges are a very nice touch. Pressure stays Constant before and after the filters, 60 PSI. Installation was easy. I have already recommended this product to several people. It does its job very well. Water quality, taste are great. My only downside is that I wish there were a website to purchase replacement parts (Just in case). Or to add a fourth or fifth filter housing.

Excellent Whole-Home water filtering solution
Had a Friend who is licensed Plumber assist with the installation, and we have no leaks so far (this review is 4 months after install).... Seems that the Inlet and Outlet seals/adapters are the most challenging part of install.... I am VERY satisfied with the result, and functionality of this housing.... Plain string-wound filters work for approx 3 months before needing a change (2 person household, slightly higher than average water usage) .... Filter change-out is simple and takes maybe 10 minutes.... I use Food-grade Silicon spray on the O-rings at installation AND filter change.... You really do not need to monster-grip tighten the housing.... just snug-it and your good. (60 PSI).

Best way to Install when leaks arise-----It will
My first attempt installing this was a nightmare, it leaked no matter what I did. Finally got it sealed then when it came time to change the filter it leaked again. The filter housing is well made, it is heavy duty, has dual O rings on the blue housing at the top above the threads. SOOOO>>>>>>> Here's what I did that solved my problems, FIRST the threads in this filter are NOT true NPT so when you buy a bushing to reduce 1 inch down to 3/4 inch it is very sloppy. MFG says 10 wraps of Teflon tape.... I had more than that with pipe dope, still dripped. The threads are brass, so my first install I used a brass bushing's (1 inch reducing to 3/4 inch)The main problem is...the depth of the female threads (of the filter) is too deep for the length of the brass bushing, so the bushing can't bottom out before hitting the filter housing on the outside. Which means the sloppy threads with the American NPT bushing is difficult to seal. So, I went to the local hardware and got new bushings made of Galvanized pipe again 1 inch down to 3/4 inch. The galv. bushing has about two or three threads more in length. BUT.... because the bottom of the female threads is flat, and so is the bottom of the male bushing threads. I got an O ring and made sure it had to be pushed in to set flat inside the female ports, which takes 90% of the stress of the water pressure. See the picture...Now the bushing does not bottom out...but does squash the O ring to help with the seal.Think of it like putting a nozzle on the end of your garden hose. (It will leak without a washer) I still used Teflon tape on all threads but did not need more than 4-5 wraps. NO LEAKS YAHOO!!BE SURE TO...Use food grade grease on the rubber O rings and threads of the blue housing when installing filter, and when changing filters.DO NOT...sweat copper near the Teflon tape...sweat the pipe fittings first then wrap the tape and install the pipe, making the last connection (sweat) AWAY from the Teflon tape. (Even then I used a wet rag wrapped around the Tape to absorb heat)Hold the RED button down while SLOWLEY filling the filter with water, let go when water comes out vent.HIGHLY RECCOMEND........Installing bypass for service...so that you don't have to shut down the whole house and drain the pipes. See 1st Picture. Also be sure to release the pressure (RED BUTTON) when changing the filter, helps un-screwing the housing. One last thing.... the filter that comes with this when new only measures 9 &3/4 inches tall. I have tried 10-inch-tall filters that are supposed to fit but seem to be too tall for the housing to screw in far enough for the two O rings to seal. (again see #1 pic-very little gap when screwed in all the way) Only 1/4 turn past snug.It can work :)

Broken connector
Arrived with a Broken nipple in the middle. After installing, it of course "leaked" out of the broken piece. Had to completely uninstall and take it apart, to find and then replace the broken 1" nipple. The broken piece was completely sheared! It was factory- installed in the middle of the filter housings and bracket, so the damage was nothing we could have done, it had to arrive this way.

Better to have a plumber if your not😁
This unit is very good at removing sediment out of the water. It seems to be doing a very good job. I’ve had issues with my well water with fine sediment plugging up the screens on the washer, shower, and sinks, I’ve had a water test and the water checked out fine so I decided to go with this unit and it appears to have solved my issue. I’m very pleased with the unit

1" inlet quality problem
Bought to add a 'pre filter' to my whole-house water softener.Quality of materials seemed adequate, but lackadaisical quality assurance ("QA") caused me much extra work and expense: The 1" inlet on the Right side of the unit was adequate, but on the Left side of the unit was entirely inadequate/bad. Why? In the USA, NPT (National Pipe Thread) is 'tapered'. The threads are a bit larger at the opening, slowly getting narrower the deeper you screw in the fitting. The Left hand inlet was, indeed, standard 1" x 11-1/2 tpi - but it was NOT tapered. I could not screw in the male 1" fitting more than a quarter turn (1/4 turn). No good, would pop out if slightly disturbed.By the time I discovered this, and since everything else was acceptable, I decided to purchase a cheap NPT Tap, which I had to modify so as not to cut into the unit's plastic body, and futz around for an hour until I got a satisfactory 'taper' to accept my fitting. (BTW I tried 3 different 1" male fittings in this bad inlet, including a PVC fitting - None would fit. It was this filter unit's problem until I re-tapped the inlet). So at least it works now. No leaks. Just a bad day at the factory final quality check- or worn-out tap tool at the factory is my guess. It happens. I'm not returning it, but If I wasn't a strong DIY sort of person, I would have sent it back.
