This didn’t work at all for me. My hair is somewhat coarse but not super thick. I was under the impression after blow drying, it would straighten my hair. Not at all! Took longer than a flat iron and not nearly the same results. I can see that it is probably less damaging than a flat iron. Maybe if you don’t care if your hair is perfectly straight? It took many passes through my hair to even get it close to presentable.

As a Black woman with thick, coarse hair, I found this product did not meet my expectations. I'm disappointed.

This hair straightener brush does not actually straighten the hair like a regular hair straightener. It straightens the hair enough to make it lie nicely. It kind of leaves a little wave and thickness to your hair so it doesn't look so thin and straight and does not cause as much static to the hair as a regular one does. I love this brush! I turn the brush as I use it to have a little curve on the ends. It's so easy to use that I bought one for my Granddaughter (she's 9) and she is able to use it by herself. I use the hottest setting (my hair is thick and coarse) and she uses the coolest (her hair is thin) and it works for us both. We both have shoulder length hair. I'm not sure how it would work with short hair because you actually need to pull on the hair as you guide it through the brush. This brush is awesome, and I definitely recommend it. I love this brush!
