Pleasantly surprised
I bought these to have on hand for spring power outages since they can be eaten hot or cold. I tried them cold first..now I have eaten a lot of mres and I would put these against the best. They are very good, and filling. Tried one heated, loved it. The seasoning and spice are spot on. I want to try all the flavors now!! They smell good and are so easy to prepare.

Easy & Filling
1. Directions say “Lift tabs then tear off the top”, presumably along dotted line. However, only the Incredible Hulk could tear it so use your kitchen scissors.2. “Pour into microwavable bowl.” This stuff is really packed into the box and thick so there is no pouring. Dig it out with a spoon.3. “Microwave 1-2 minutes”. I did it for 1.5 minutes. It was warm but could have used a bit more time.Note: Be sure to cover the bowl in the microwave because this stuff pops and spitsThe quantity of this food is more than I thought it would be from such a small box. It is filling. The taste was pretty good but the one I ate also had a slightly stale taste. That is not to say they all will. I have two more so I will see if they all taste a little stale. This is advertised having chicken in it. There is NO chicken. Just beans and rice.

Disgusting smelling and tasting.. Very disappointed.. Sounded good but product did not deliver
Very disappointed in product, when I opened it was sticky and hard to dig out. Was disgusitng looking and tasting. I tried to like it but just reminded me of pet food. Was hoping to buy others to flesh out my prepacked food for days when I did not have time to cook, but this missed the mark.

This is a great idea, but a miss as far as flavor goes. With quality ingredients, I expected this to taste better, but it’s a bit of a disappointment. NOTE: this is a bit spicy and has a low grade heat that stays with you. You have been warned.

good for what it is
HOnestly I've yet to even HEAT one of these bc--did I really forget to mention in all my other reviews I've dashed on here--MY MICROWAVE IS A BRAND NEW HAND ME DOWN!! And I haven't had a microwave for VARIOUS reasons in well over a DECADE LOLOLOL so it's kind of a new glorious gadget in my life.Anyway I haven't even re-ordered these since I got my microwave. And I used them as a glorious bedridden sicko hack to help me stay alive and have something nutritious and flavorful when I could not get out of bed. Just straight out of the packet. EVen then the flavor was really decent and I can feel the fact that there are no additives in it really. It's living up to its name. I'll decide more on flavor once I actually eat one of these HEATED since it's kind of not fair to judge it when it's held up so well cold. Both this flavor and the thai one were shcokingly decent.Portion could be larger for the money but it' isDENSE and filling and there's a fair not awesome but reasonable amount of meat mixed inside along with lots of beans. Very hearty texture. Decent value ~$3/"meal"/part-meal.
