Alright so this is my second review for the product. I was hasty with my first. So one thing I really like is the keyboard is detachable and it works well for a more sitting in the couch experience. Tie that in with a wireless mouse and bam good lightweight wireless experience. Don’t knock it till you try it seriously.

The touchpad gestures and being stuck tablet mode are horrible. But this can be fixed.You can turn off tablet mode in Windows 11 by opening Regedit. Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\PriorityControlChange ConvertableSlateMode from 0 to 1.Download free Microsoft PowerToys. Remap these four keyboard shortcuts.WINDOWS key + D key --- to --- WINDOWS key + END keyWINDOWS key + TAB key --- to --- WINDOWS key + END keyWINDOWS key + DOWN ARROW key --- to --- WINDOWS key + END keyWINDOWS key + UP ARROW key --- to --- WINDOWS key + END keyWINDOWS key + A key --- to --- WINDOWS key + END keyNow the horrible hand gestures are turned off and your keyboard will operate like the original Microsoft Surface Type Cover. As several others have mentioned, there are issues with the mouse that make it nearly unusable.Solution: I found the mobee Type Cover keyboard available for older Microsoft Surface Pro. This appears to accomplish what this product advertises.It does not appear to be possible to use the F? keys normally. Example: no way to send [Alt] + [F11] to the operating system. No solution provided by the seller, although they did confirm they were able to reproduce the issue on their side.Additionally, if you missed it in the product description, the keyboard is wireless *only*! It can not be connected to the tablet or powered through the tablet- the only connection option is bluetooth. The backlighting is very odd. It does technically work, but the keys do not light like a normal backlit keyboard. The lighting is much brighter around and under the keys (rather than simply lighting through the character button).* Update: It has been over six weeks now. Seller did bother to respond to my review with something generic, but still has not actually resolved the problem and I can't get them to actually read the message thread or respond at all. I have reached out, without getting an acknowledgement, on Dec 19, 21, 25, 31, Jan 2, 3, 9, 12, 17, and Feb 10th. I suggest you searching for the mobee brand.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It is Bluetooth and keys light up.Functionality:Easy to set up to my Surface pro.Value for money:It was cost effective for my budget.

Works ok. I don't like that the keyboard isn't always on and charged by the Surface. Charging while in use can be a challenge due to the short charging cord. Touchpad is at times too sensitive, moving the cursor while I'm typing (but not touching the touchpad). At other times, it is not responsive, lagging from my motion on the touchpad and/or requiring me to move the cursor again.
