It is lighter.
Lovely kettle and love the colour. It is not as heavy as my previous Russel Hobbs 1.2 ltr!The light when switched on is very helpful.

Easy to clean ,reasonable weight,not too loud, looks good and is perfect size

MUCH noisier than my old kettle.
The facility to just boil enough water for one or two cups is good. It's nice looking and the colour matches my kitchen, which is the main reason I bought it. BUT, the noise whilst it is boiling.....!!! As long as I shut all the doors between the bedroom and the kitchen, it doesn't wake my partner first thing in the morning when it's me making the tea. Apart from that, it's great. Hence, I dropped one star.

Fast boil - more efficient
Much faster boil than my previous Russell Hobs kettle. I just love its quirky look. Much easier to lift and pour too.

Bad enamel round where the lid sits.
Very efficient kettle, boils fairly fast.What isn’t so good is the enamel is coming off round where the lid goes in.This is likely to get worse with use.Bought April 9th 2025.
