Dawn Professional Pot and Pan Detergent Regular Scent 1 Gallon

Product-wise, this is outstanding. I can't really figure out if it's exactly the same as original Dawn, or the newer version, but I suspect it's more like the older variety - it works at least as well. My only two complaints, which don't take away from the 5-star rating of the actual benefits of this product, are the odor (a general complaint with far too many products - some people, including us, are highly sensitive to all the fragrances being put in products these days), and also the fact that we were not expecting to get a huge bottle that we could not use!Dawn (or supplier): be very clear that this is set up for a pump, and requires one in order to even get a drop of the liquid out of the big bottle. We saw no such notice anywhere, even on the bottle itself once it arrived. We ended up using a pair of pliers to get the inner piece out of the top of the bottle, and are just pouring smaller amounts into smaller pump containers that we already had. If you're aware of this lack of a required pump and have one already (or separately buy one), great! You'll still get the same great product regardless. It cuts oils and grease better than almost anything we've ever tried, and it's our "standby" product, used every day.

My gallon of Dawn just came in today. The price was great. It did come with a pump. The really bad thing is a quarter of the bottle has leaked into the bag that it's in!!! Why not just leave the cap on it and put the pump in the box? This is a mess! I'm going to think really hard about ordering this again!Update : This is probably the fastest review update I've ever done. Just received an email from the seller. Because of the mess my order came in, they're giving me a full refund! That's pretty cool! Very good customer service. Now I'll give it 5 stars. I'll order from them again. But, just put a lid on the jug and problems will be solved.

Do the math and see how much more economical this bulk size is. Just remember not to throw away the small empty grocery store sized bottles so you don't have this monster sitting on your countertop. This stuff makes a great garage degreaser and also quite possibly the best poison ivy avoidance tool. If you know you were in contact with poison ivy, wash with this. Put it directly on dry skin and scrub vigorously for a good amount of time and don't use water until it's time to rinse it all off. You'll be amazed. You will either not get a poison ivy reaction at all or a greatly reduced reaction. Poison ivy's active ingredient is an oil that you can't really see, and Dawn removes it if you catch it soon after exposure. You're welcome.

Dawn is Dawn, the only not toxic eco-friendly detergent not harmful to animals and cleans grease in cold water. Will always use, and if you have a pet infested with flies, it will kill the flies and file eggs and perfectly safe for animals. But still, as with most soap, do not get in eyes. Dawn is great for all grease clean up applications and even cuts threw tar and paint on hands. Dawn is just good!

When it comes to items that I know I'm going to use until the day I leave this earth, I buy in bulk (e.g. soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, cat food and litter, etc.). Instead of buying a small bottle every few weeks or so, I'll just get this industrial size dish detergent and be good for months!

Being available in gallon size is a great plus; less plastic, more product; and fewer purchases.....!
