Good children's book.
More of a beginner magic book and still fun. Would recommend to most people. Science tricks and others to keep the family entertained

Liked it!
Simple but effective tricks with easy to understand explanations. Once you start it's difficult to put the book down. Martin Gardner's books are always a good read.

Great resource for physics, chemistry and physical science teachers!
I am a high school physics teacher and I always put on a science magic show toward the end of the year. This book is a well written collection of science magic stunts, all based on some principles of physics or chemistry. As such, I have found it to be a tremendous resource in finding new fun stunts, tricks or demos to perform for the students which will grab their attention, excite their curiosity, and teach them basic principles of physics or chemistry. It is a valuable asset for any physical science, chemistry or physics teacher, and I highly recommend it as a great resource to help make science fun and motivate the students to learn. It can be used for a science magic show or for daily demos to introduce each class. You will also learn from many of these clever science magic stunts.

It's ok, but not for a real magic show.
There are interesting things here, and the book didn't cost too much, so I'm not unhappy. But there's very little usable material for actual magic tricks. Most of what's here demonstrates some principle or other, and once you see it happen, you know exactly how and why. So this might be useful for a science club or something, but not so much for a magic act.

i like the cover i dont even want to commit to memory what colors correspond on a rubix cube though so i love magic but dont wan
ordered this for a friend under house arrest. going to order books for inmates to turn around their lives for the better going to write to inmates. inmates will write back. normal wont write back. famous people wont bother to write back. i dont want to waste my stamps. i dont know my friend probably didnt want to learn magic out of a book nor do i. i dont mind figuring out magic. i dont want someone to teach me and give away the secrets.

Science Magic
Remember your nerdy science teacher? This book takes those dry science projects out of school and gives them an entertaining quality worthy of performing to an audience.

This is OK if you are enticing young students to have an interest in science. It did not give me many jump off points to expand into science fair ideas.

Good challenges
Excellent puzzles & scientific demos for kids of all ages up to 70s & more! for the older readers, very good to share with younger generations to make them think & for those "look at that" moments. My only real gripe was that I wanted more when I got to the end.
