So, the first thing I did when I opened this was slightly nick my finger. Silly, right? A couple of the tools obviously have blades and they are sharp.The crimping tool feels quite sturdy. I'd never actually crimped a RJ45 connector onto a cable before today, but did a lot of RJ11 (telephone) connectors in the day. Crimping 4-pin connectors onto a flat cable is a lot easier then crimping an 8-pin connector onto a round cable. It takes a bit of effort to get the colors lined up and onto the connector head and crimped down, but I did get it right on the first try.There are no instructions with the kit. You can get them on the Internet easily enough, but don't expect complain when you buy this and don't see instructions in it. Not hard to find them. Obviously, you need to get the colors right.I like the fact that the tool set comes with an extra phillips and flat head screw drivers. Never hurts to have these in your small tool kits. I tried the line tester and it worked as expected. It is simple, but effective. The kit includes 10 RJ45 connectors so you might want to order a few extra if you plan on working on a lot of cables (or you are new to trying to do this and want some extras to test with).Good set and a good value. So far so good! Happy with my purchase.

I bought this for the crimpers but over time I have been using all of the other tools in the kit. Great purchase for the money.

The cable tester is nice and works well. The kit comes with multiple ways to strip cables and I really like the fact that none of the cutters have protective covers on them. It's really hard to cut a Cat 5 cable off a spool with all these device put in place to protect us from ourselves.With that said, the head of the crimper is a little more weird that I am used to, but works fine.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is this weird punch down tool. If it included a normal punch down tool, this would be the perfect kit to perform any standard network job. But, as seen in the attached photo, the scissor style cutter leaves the wires sticking out and seemed to struggle to actually cut the wires. At first, I thought it might work better, as I have dealt with dull punch down tools in the past and they can be frustrating, but this one is brand new and it's frustrating. Also, the tip can't be changed, so you have to cut the wire no matter what. It also can't be used on 66 blocks.Bottom line, the kit is ALMOST perfect. If they swapped the punch down tool with a normal one that could swap the bits between cutting/non-cutting and between 110 and 66 (like normal), you could take it to any network cabling task.

This phone, cable and network tools kit is the best quality and value for cost. I was going to buy just the hand crimping tool directly from another company but when I had to fill out all my info I just decided to check with Amazon and found this kit for about the same price! It arrived in two days. The case is is high quality rugged and has elastic straps to hold each of the 9 tools securely in place. Today, I used every tool except the punch tool and they all worked perfectly. I installed phone and network lines and the separate phone and network testing equipment were indispensable for checking faults and made the work much easier with the tone line tool to find which line in the birds nest was the correct one. I placed the toner in the basement and validated that the line two floors up was correct. No guessing and trial-and-error.

I had to complete a small job in my basement and needed an Ethernet crimp tool and punch down tool. I was able to get this kit delivered in less than 24 hours and was impressed with what it included. It even included a network tester, which I hadn't realized when I bought it. Turns out that was a very important part of the job because I made some errors with my initial connections. I used the wrong punch down tool for an RJ45 jack and ruined the jack. Including some instructions to show usage of the tools would be an opportunity for improvement. Overall, I got my job completed successfully and was happy with this purchase.

The five stars are not for the product but their customer service. I received an email from Hiija to follow up on my purchase to see if I was satisfied. My reply was Very Disappointing. The tester was dead. After making up some patch cables, they tested bad with another tester I had using the crimper. The yellow wire stripper worked extremely well. That was all of the components I had used when I received their email. After my reply telling them the problems I was experiencing, their reply was not what I was expecting. Not only did they refund my money, they are sending me another one. This is true customer service. Thanks Hiija.
