Spring appear to be well made. This set should meet any household's needs. But,....I'm a little bummed out. The description for this product on Amazon shows a compression spring big enough to use in hand clippers. That is the big reason I got this set to replace a missing compression spring in a pair of hand clippers. But, there is no compression spring in this set that is as big as the one shown in the picture on the Amazon description for use with hand clippers. Thus, I knocked the rating down one star for misleading advertising. Apart from that, an overall good set of compression springs to have.

Many useful sizes and they seem stout. My dog broke the spring in my boat's door handle. This kit had a perfect replacement. If I only ever use that one spring, I will have saved over $100 compared to replacing the latch.

The pin return springs that are recommended are cheaper by the 20 count.All of the other springs may be helpful in the future.

This is a good kit to have around for simple projects. My only complaint is that there are no spring constant ratings so you'll have to measure it on your own if you want something specific. The sizes are also very similar, I would have preferred a wider range of lengths/diameters. The difference between the smallest and largest springs are only about double (length/overall diameter/wire diameter).
