Not what I was hoping for
Bought these for hand lettering bc of the different color variety in the package since. it's hard to find "extra fine" oil based markers. I do like the color variety, but in terms of how well they write, they do run and cause big blobs onto your work that then ruins it - that is no different from other oil based markers I've used. The main issue is that I think they are slightly thicker than all the other "extra fine" markers I have used, so they don't work for fine details or smaller lettering...the base of the marker where the ink comes out is also thicker than the Pen touch or Sharpie ones I typically use. I attached a photo to see the comparison.

Superior pens
I got them out of the box as soon as I got them and I was immediately impressed. I was worried that the fine tip may be too small but it was an excellent size that made details easy but still worked well for filling color. The color itself is stunning, just amazing color. I liked these better than the highly prized Artisto, though to be fair, I used Artisto only on paper, and I understand Artisto is not the best for paper. Only down of these: the pens are each individually wrapped which makes it a pain to open each one. Also, the cap is on very tight. Well worth the trouble, however. I will definitely buy again.

IMO, not good for coloring projects...
Hobby colorist, and bought these for white accents, but not crazy about them Paint tends to clump on the page if you use too much, and it's hard to controll the amount dispensed IMHO. Also, very chalky finish. My criticism only applies to coloring, I can see where they might work for other type projects.

Great for marking queen bees!
I used this for marking my queen bees. It is better a last longer than the water based.

PLASTIC NIB NOT FELT/FIBER
Overall, I really like these paint markers and now wish I'd gotten a larger set to begin with. These have a plastic style nib that I absolutely love! I really dislike fiber tip nibs bc I feel they are much more prone to clogging. If you follow the instructions [the other side of the card I swatched on] you're supposed to shake, vent, paint, lastly before storing scribble out as much of the paint from the nib as possible. This will prevent clogging issues in the future. Also, storing them horizontal as with most paint/alcohol/gel pens will help prevent drying out or a big mess! The paint dries quickly for oil based paint. If you want/need to do a second layer you MUST wait for it to dry COMPLETELY before attempting another layer. Otherwise, it will cause the first layer to come off possibly clogging up the nib in the process. The only slight bummer is that I noticed my black, white, purple, gold and copper nibs have more of a rounded tip instead of coming to a point. I don't known if these were accidentally added to the fine point set or if it is a quality control issue. I'm not sure if the pictures I took accurately portray this or not. I tried getting pictures w/o and with flash as well as swatches next to the color represented on the box.All in all a way better deal than going to somewhere like Michael's and even w/a 50% off coupon spending $12 on a set of 5 fiber tipped paint pens. These are a way better design and value!
