Little Liar: A Dark Taboo Romance (The Web of Silence Duet)

*4 1/2 star rating*
Seriously, Malachi is freaking life!! He literally takes your soul and holds it captive for all eternity!!I read Haunting Adeline before discovering Malachi and, although I love Zade, Malachi is my number one! He takes the gold for most psychotic book boyfriend and I'm here for it!!The story really takes you on a journey. Hm, very much a revenge based book for sure. Malachi wanting revenge for being locked up and practically abandoned to adding characters from another series and more revenge ingredients added from there.I love that Malachi got his HEA and more. He truly deserved all the happiness he could get!The epilogue makes you crave more and I'm more than willing to dive into Isaac's story, if there is one.If you're unsure if this book is for you, so long as you're a dark romance fanatic, I say pick it up and risk your heart for this series! So worth it!

I wish...
This book got a lot of attention and many recommendations. Im glad others found it amazing but it wasn't that for me. I love the crazy obessed mute and i love the character of Olivia. There was just a lot that wasn't there for me. Part One was a waste I basically skimmed through it. Now if all part One was weaved in with the first book it would have been perfect. Give the story from both points of view at the same time. I do like this book more than the first. I felt there was more action. There were different things ideas brought up but never touched back on them. What happened with Abiligal and the brothers? I wish there was more relationship building not just spice. I also wish we got to learn and grow with Olivia and Malichi through the epilogues. That story seems interesting and full of love and growth.

what a roller coaster of a duet & seeing everyone from EOD š„¹š„¹
Reading about Malachiās childhood seriously just about broke me. I was literally sobbing within the first few chapters. This book was so good, I enjoyed seeing everything from Malachiās POV. It was so sad at times after seeing what his actual intentions were/seeing that certain things werenāt done intentionally. I wish we couldāve seen a bit more of his growth on page, but the epilogue made me so happy.I absolutely LOVED seeing the EOD gang, and that freaking epilogue?! ššš Iām gonna need a bit to process that.

Could've been better
Semi spoilers. I really give this 2.5 starsSo the first one was great! And the first 3 chapters or so went into more background on Malachai's childhood before foster which was good. However , the rest of the first part of the book was just the same story pretty verbatim from Little Stanger, just only from his PIV instead of dual. I really hate reading the same Damm story in a muted version. You could skip Little Stranger and read Little Liar and be OK still. Really don't like the structure of this second book. Could've been better without most of the first half and and into more details of present day. It had spice and I love Mal and Olivia, but just felt rushed and poorly executed.

Not as unhinged, with a lot more plot
I loved the first one due to how unhinged it was. This one wasn't as unhinged but had so much more plot. I loved being able to get into the mind of Malachi. I felt the backstory of what he came from really told you why he was the way he was. I loved ALL the characters except his adopted mom, of course. I loved that Olivia was able to find her voice and stand her ground. Seriously, there is just so much that i loved about this book! That ending was amazing, and everything i could have hoped for. Im so excited to read The Edge Of Darkness Trilogy now!

Good duet
Loved this 2nd book in the duet. I really loved seeing Malachi side of the events and getting his inner dialogue. He is absolutely unhinged, possessive but at the heart of it he loves Olivia. He may have not made the best choices at times but some of those decisions were deliciously devious. I enjoyed their relationship in both books. Where this book dropped a star for me was the ending. It felt rushed. There were way too many characters showing up at the end. But overall I enjoyed this duet

This Duet ā¤ļø
First off, if you havenāt read Edge of Darkness trilogy, do that first! Characters cross over, and it will spoil EOD if you donāt read it first. You donāt want those spoilers!Part 2 of Little Liar was action packed, suspenseful, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The cross over was absolutely amazing!!! This duet built up to that craziness, and I LOVED it! I wish there had been a tandem for part 1 of Little Stranger and Little Lair because they do cross over a lot but are just in different POVs with a few different scenes.š¶ļøSpice wise: the chapters containing spice were 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 19, 25, 31, and epilogue 1. There was a chunk of the book with a lot of spice. However, the plot really kicked into book 2. This duet had to build up to give us the suspense and edge of your seat moments we love in Part 2.Read this! I promise this entire universe has been amazing. Trust the process because in the end Leigh Rivers will give us a fantastic read. I canāt wait to see whatās in store for the futureā¤ļø

Holy trauma!
This one started off slow but malichais story broke my heart, and Olivia's too. But their deep connection because of their past made their story more intense more gripping. This may have been a taboo romance but it was still captivating and amazing. Jennifer though.. I'm glad malichai sent her 6 ft under she deserved it!!!
