Strong and stable
This is a strong padded ring of plastic and foam. It is stable if you have the ability to be stable. It is strong enough to help you be stable, but it's not going to prevent you from doing some sort of damage to yourself if you don't have the strength and bodily control to use it as an aide for your movement.I have spine curvature which has only become a pain issue for me in the past few years as I reach middle age. I spent some time with a physical therapist learning exercises that I now need to include in my daily routine at home. This ring is a much more compact than a small exercise ball and can be used for stretches and exercises that need something that rolls. There are certain stretches and exercises that I cannot do without assistance. They were exercises like bridges which I feel I *should* be able to do; however, when I attempted them, I strained muscles attached to my ribs that subsequently caused several days worth of severe shoulder pain. There are two options...don't do them, or find something that will help just enough. This is a tool for just such a thing. Is this supposed to be a back cracker? So many reviews call it a back cracker. I don't know that back cracking is a good idea...just like knuckle cracking might not be a good idea. I rarely do that and I do not crack my back. This didn't crack my back, and rolling over it is painful as it always is with these types of things. BUT it is a good sort of pain in that it is a good size for a slow and controlled roll and stretch.A longer tube shaped roller with a smaller circumference might be better for some things. It would give more stability, can cover more surface area on your body at a time, and won't require as much flexibility. This roller can really stretch your front while applying a lot of pressure at a smaller point on the back. This hurts...I know people who don't believe in "good pain," but I do. It hurts so good because it is the right size to allow you to hold the position for a long time. The longer stretch and longer pressure can be as good as a back rub.How strong is this thing? I don't know, I don't see any sort of weight rating anywhere. My partner said he was afraid he was going to break it. I was 100% certain he would not. He is about 180lbs, I am 135lbs. I don't know how much weight you could put on this, but it is plenty strong enough for us to stand on. It flexes a little and does not seem at any sort of pressure risk. It's a good, solid piece of equipment.

Easy to use, good quality
I love this! I have issues between my shoulders and upper back. Foam roller just doesn't do it for me. But this really stretches me and I can really feel it opening my vertebral spaces and stretching my ribs. Really helps with a pesky spot that I always have to see a chiropractor for.I feel sturdy on this and have no problems putting my full weight on it. Nice size

Economical version of the Chirp wheel.
Short, Sweet, Simple and to the point review. This wheel is most an economical version of the highly expensive and overpriced chirp wheel. It does the job well and the foam pyramids along the wheel are a nice touch to add a slight massage while rolling on it. This wheel does Bend a little bit while using however it goes right back to its original shape after finishing up with it. I like to use this whenever I can to help stretch out my spinal cord muscles and alleviate any pressure on my spine. It's definitely worth giving a try if you're looking into something like this.

OMG Buy this now.
I pulled this out of the box and popped my back in like eight different places in thirty seconds. Holy, sweet relief. I I work a desk job, and I'll admit, I have terrible posture. I'm no stranger to back pain, and recently slept weird and was just stopped in my track for days with something pinched somewhere in there.I'd never used one of these before. I know they come in different sizes and the name brand one has this center channel for your spine, so I wasn't really sure whether this would be good or what. Pulling it out of the box, it's nicely heavy and solid. It doesn't feel like it's going to crack under me or anything like that. It's a good size for a nice stretch/release. I didn't feel like I was going to hurt myself on something too small, applying too much pressure, but it wasn't so big that it didn't do anything. The outside is cushioned with foam so you're not grinding your spine on it. Maybe the fancy ones are better? I wouldn't know, but I like this thing. A lot. I can see myself using this multiple times a day. Super excited to finally have one of these. I wish I'd gotten one years ago.

Tutorials would have been great
What a great tool this could be for someone that really needs to stretch out their back and other areas. It would be even better yet if it came with tutorials on different ways to use it. Such an opportunity to share all the great ways this could be used, I was disappointed it did not come with anything. Does it function as designed, yes and if you are a pro at using one of these, this might be the one for you. However, it could have a little more padding for when you are in a pose for a long period of time. So-So

It's a fun new toy
The blue foam is very firm. It might hurt. It hurts along my spine a little (not too much) as I have some issues along my spine. But it is just the right width to fit perfectly between my shoulder blades. The foam padding is padded enough and firm enough so you don't have to worry about the plastic damaging your hard wood floors, if you have them. The wheel sometimes falls over depending on how you move but even then the plastic hitting and sliding against my hard wood floors hasn't caused any damage.I looked up yoga wheel on You Tube and found a fair amount of videos, which are really helpful. Watching those makes using this a fun activity with the benefits of some good deep stretching.I have a foam roller, but I prefer using this. Mainly because the foam roller puts me lower to the floor. So watching You Tube or TV is easier with this.
