Good Flavor
My kids and I have always loved kettle corn and enjoy making the treat at home. You can do it with regular sugar but things always end up burning. I used to like a back to basics product that Target sold "called sweet butter". I have not been able to find this for sometime and it's been a number of years since I ordered it. I thought I would give this stuff a try and I'm glad I did. It has a great flavor. Directions are easy to follow. Just make sure you go easy on the heat like it says. You only need about medium temp or things will start to burn. Does a nice job. Clean up isn't too difficult if you do it right away. I make this in my popper with oil, 1/2 cup seeds and then 1/4 cup of this mix. There is a little salt in the mix but not enough for my liking. I usually add some more after it's popped for a little salt/sweet combo. If you don't like the salt then this should be about perfect for you.*****Update*****Still liking this stuff. It's really kind of a pain to clean up compared to your normal quick paper towel wipe but again it's not too bad if you do it right away. You might need to give it a little scrape in a few places with a plastic scraper to get it out of your popper. I wear an oven mitt to hold the pan and do it right over the garbage as soon as I dump the popcorn.Don't wait for the popcorn to stop popping before you take it off the heat or you'll burn it. It may take you a few batches to figure out when to take off the heat and dump, but you'll figure it out. Salt works good if you add it as soon as you dump the popcorn out. Let the popcorn cool and start to set up before you even think about trying to eat it. Very hot.If you are a serious popcorn nut like me, try making a batch of your normal popcorn and a batch of this stuff. Put all together in a paper grocery sack, add salt and shake it up good. I think it's a prefect blend of salt/sweet popcorn. Also I didn't mention it up top, but I do add the oil and then a few kernels of popcorn. When those pop I know the oil is hot enough. I then dump in the sugar and seeds which I've already measured out and put in a small bowel while waiting for the oil to heat up. Works pretty good.

With a good machine, the right oil and quality popcorn, Gold Medal Kettle Corn mix will rock your taste buds' world! OM NOM NOM!
It's kind of hard to make a review on a quart of popcorn flavor, but I'm gonna give it a shot as I really like this stuff.I used to hate the popcorn that I made...then I, by pure random chance, got a popcorn machine. I figured I would give it a go...since then, it's been one of my favorite snack foods and I am amazed how much better homemade popcorn is in a machine versus a microwave. I am also always impressed by how cheap it is to make it!Kettle corn is one of my favorite popcorn flavors. This comes as no surprise because many of my favorite foods have both a sweet and salty flavor (ex: deviled eggs, chicken salad, marinara sauce, etc.) So that sweet vs salty taste stimulation is always a winner for me because it deviates from most other foods.I bought this to use with my other materials I use to make popcorn of various flavors. I use mainly two popcorn brands: Great Northern or Bob's Red Mill. Bob's is without doubt my favorite***, and I use it exclusively for kettle corn (and I would argue it is one of the or the best-quality popcorns on the market!) For oil, I use a good quality coconut oil (from a few different makers), and in some cases, sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, and/or Old Bay and chili powder. The kettle corn makes a nice flavor change if I had been eating Old Bay or chili pepper popcorn.I agree with other posters who have noted they like more salt. My guess is that Gold Medal intentionally went light on the salt given you can always add more salt but you can't remove it. Like virtually anything kettle corn-related, cleanup is a mild nightmare. Cleaning up immediately after usage makes it somewhat easier, but it's still time consuming and it will get especially caked-on if you do multiple batches at once to make a big quantity to store (like I). But I cannot complain here as the mix itself makes darn good popcorn. Plus, Bar Keeper's Friend makes cleaning so, so, so much easier. So if you like kettle corn, this is a must-have. I can't say if it comes out equally well with al methods as my only method has thus far been using popcorn made in an actual popcorn machine. If you are using a popcorn machine, I can tell you that without question it comes out super well....Another reason I use Bob's Red Mill popcorn exclusively for kettle corn is because Bob's Red Mill popcorn is incredibly consistent...kernels pop almost all at the same time and in a predictable manner...also, not only do the kernels all pop at the same time, but almost all of the kernels themselves will pop. This I find to be the key to good kettle corn because if you leave your kettle corn in the machine for too long, the mix will begin to burn, and once that happens the flavor of the kettle corn changes and can have a burnt taste that is more powerful than the sweet or salt.

OK product
Just a few things to note: Taste was ok but much better when we added popcorn salt - gave it more of the sweet/salty flavor we are used to. Product will clump while in the container so be sure to take out what you need and break it up. Be sure to follow directions that say to pop on med heat and not to wait till it is all popped.

LOVE this! Very addictive
LOVE this! Very addictive! Perfect blend of sweet & salty. We use non-GMO organic seeds which have LOADS of flavor, unlike any and all of the store bought corn. Also have a big kettle - carnival-style on wheels - so no worries about right temperature. We use organic coconut oil so it's a relatively healthy snack. But this glaze takes our popcorn to a new level! ALMOST as good as State Fair type kettle korn. As others have written - by far the best you can make at home.Even the other half, who rarely eats popcorn, ate 2 full bowls of this in 20 minutes. That's a first. So pleased we found this!! Time to stock up.

Works great but flavor not what was hoped for.
Works great in my popper. Have a popper that is made to do 6 oz of corn at a time. I do like to use a little more of this than was the recommended says to use. Flavor is OK but not as good as another brand that I bought on Amazon previously. I am using the Gold Medal 2538 28 oz Pop 'N Glaze to try and create a kettle corn flavor. Taking one star off for the portion needed for my tastes and the flavor profile.
