Hampton Men's Leather Belts with Innovative Contempo Ratchet Belt Buckle

I purchased my first belt well over a year ago and another shortly thereafter. Before purchasing, I read several reviews and noted that some people considered it difficult to release the buckle. It was really very easy after the first couple of times - all it takes is easing the tension on the buckle and bushing the release button on the lower part of the buckle. I was concerned about the wear and tear of the ratchets and so far there is no noticeablewear. Don't worry about order too long a belt(as I did)- it is very easy to cut to your desired length and refitting the belt into the buckle was very easy. Just make sure you have a sharp cutting tool. I especially like the small adjustment you can make with the ratchets(approx.1/4 inch) which makes for a very comfortable fit. This was my exposure to a ratchet belt and believe me I will never return to belts with holes. As to quality the leather does not show any sign of wear, is very supple and feels strong. The buckle does have any scratches and still has a new look to it. I am sure there are other belts on the market like the Hampton but I think it would be hard to fine one with the same quality for the price of the belt. I am very hqppy with both belts.

Very Nice belt. Instructions were clear and concise. I had to trim the belt for a more true size. Again, the instructions included with the belt made the process simple. The leather fine quality and the buckle looks like it is built to last. It took me a couple of practice runs to see how the mechanism works. But is is simple to use and after a couple of "on and off" moves, you quickly know where to locate the latch lever and you go right to it. One you use a ratchet belt, it is unlikely that you will ever want to buy anything else. One black and one brown and you are set. Gain a little weight or lose a little, you always know there will be no issues with belt size.

This is a really great belt. It come pretty long and you can cut it to make a custom fit.The belt buckle is quite sharp looking. The ratchet feature is way better than the standard belt with holes in it. I will never go back.

Given the low price tag and unfamiliarity with the ratcheting mechanism I was a little apprehensive about this purchase but figured I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The belt seems sturdy yet flexible and the buckle is of high quality and should hold up for a long time. I've been loosing weight so being able to easily shrink the belt down is a benefit. I've been wearing the belt 3 days a week for close to 2 months and it still looks like brand new. I like it so much I purchased a second one so I had 1 black and 1 brown. It's nice that buckles can be easily changed between the belts.

The Hampton Men's Leather Ratchet Dress Belt arrived very quickly from the seller in a decent box that I will continue to keep the belt stored in.The belt itself is a simple brown leather belt with a ratchet material on the inside. The idea is to cut the belt to fit and place the buckle on the cut end. The buckle itself was very nice and seems to be scratch resistant so far.The ratchet function of the belt operates like butter. Simply slide the end of the belt through your belt loops and into the buckle. You will hear it clicking as you push it through the buckle. To loosen, simply press the lever on the bottom of the buckle and the belt will loosen.I definitely like the ratchet function, which means no more worn out belt holes. I don't normally wear my dress belts tight, but they inevitably still wear out. Hopefully this will avoid that problem. I would definitely recommend this belt.

My husband is so picky, he is an old school biker that really doesn't like anything new , just set in his ways. Well, he saw one of those corney infomercials for a click belt and thought it was kinda cool, shockingly. Anyway I found one here on Amazon and thought , what the Hell, there was a chance he may actually wear it. Much to my surprise , he loved it! This was a few years ago, yes this review is on the second one I just bought for him which he loves also. He wore that belt out wearing it every day, day after day for 3 years. He ignored all his old belts. It finally wore out and he was so upset. This new one I bought is the exact same great quality of the last one and he is happy again. It's a well made belt and it looks great also..even when he is covered in oil and grease. He loves how when he is bent over an engine or bike that it doesn't jab him in the stomach, plus in the evening after dinner , he can loosen it just a bit, easily with little effort. I highly recommend this belt.

This is a solid, customizable belt that looks great - both the buckle and the leather. Also, if you're losing weight, a belt like this is your friend - no more punch another notch. I'm not quite sure how the miracle of construction works, but it's leather surrounding an artificial core. This means you can cut the belt to fit you.

A bit of a novelty but it does work. I would not recommend for larger fingers or older folks who may have trouble with the small latch required to release the belt. It is also fairly heavy given the mechanism has quite a bit of metal in its design. The buckle requires a custom belt and cannot be transferred to a standard leather belt when this belt fails. It's fun for guys who like gadgets but I fail to see a real benefit compared to less expensive standard buckles that could be swapped to other standard belts.
