The magnet actually works!
The kids loved that the magnetic putty actually worked with their magnet. It doesn’t stick on surfaces and the consistency helps the kids stay engaged and the work with it.

Interesting but not a long term toy.
Our little boy saw this on YouTube and begged for it for his birthday. It was an interesting toy at first. It's consistency is that of silly putty. However it also sticks to magnets which is kind of neat. Once the initial thrill was gone, it's set on his dresser for most of the time. He'd fidget with it occasionally enough to get it into his clothes. It doesn't wash out. After 3 months it broke down into a goopy mess. I just threw it out yesterday. This was our experience. It's your choice if it's worth $15 or not.

Doesn’t work
This was the only thing my 6 year old requested for his birthday so I caved in and bought despite the reviews. The putty is not really magnetic. It’s also leaves your hands messy.

Not what I was expecting.. (UPDATE)
The media could not be loaded. As you guys can see in the 40 sec video I posted this is not great puddy... (Sorry my camera is bad)Here's the pros and cons:Pros: I stretches' well and it's fun to play with and the magnet is fine..Cons: Came a day latemagnet is not strong enoughit just falls down when the magnet is too farnothing like crazy arons (My fault because I ordered it thinking it was fine)doesn't cover the magnetoverall it's okwould not recommend. (Might return)Overall it's fine I guess but the magnet is really bad. Horrible price way to expensive for puddy that doesn't even do a good job sticking to the magnet. would not recommend unless you want magnetic puddy that doesn't stick well to a magnet.*UPDATE*So turns out the puddy only works good if it's warm. Disappointed because it should work at any temp. But it's still good.

The magnets in these things are CRAZY STRONG so be aware!
Wow! The magnets are so strong they are scary! We got pinched a few times already! My only complaint is the putty is kind of a headache but it’s still good and the kids loved it. But please be careful letting the kids take control of the magnets because OUCH

Get Aaron’s Thinking Putty… spend the extra $
This stuff is ok, but now I regret trying to save a few bucks. I should have gotten Aaron’s Magnetic Thinking Putty instead. The can is pretty small and the putty is strange…. Slightly wet upon opening, slippery, and leaves stains.I now know why they packaged it inside a plastic bag inside the can! This is the first time I’ve seen putty come that way. When you put the magnet on top of the can, it draws the putty up into the lid, making it nearly impossible to get it off! I finally got it open and ended up packing it in a small ziplock snack baggie, then folded it up in the can. Issue solved! The magnetic part is pretty underwhelming. My son is 4.5 and obsessed with magnets, so the actual magnet is more exciting for him than the putty. It works best if you stretch it thin… then hold the magnet near it to see the putty pull towards it (SLOWWWWWWLY). The putty doesn’t do much if it’s rolled into a ball, unless you stick the magnet to it.The black color was perfect for his Halloween Boo Basket, but it leaves stains behind on our hands AND table. Ugh. Washes off but still….Aaron’s is a few bucks more for a bigger can and way better putty!! 😉
