Hotpoint Newstyle Electric Built In Double Oven with Catalytic Liners - Black [Energy Class A]

I was remodelling our kitchen following my wife sustaining a neck injury at work and having difficulty bending and I wanted a new double oven to install at eye level so she would never have to bend down while using it. We’ve bought Hotpoint products before, so knew they were a reliable household name and the oven had all the features we were looking for. The top oven/grill is easy to use and we like the fact that you can use either half the grill, if necessary, or use the full size whenever you need. The only down side we have found is that having installed the oven at a higher level, my wife, who is on the petite side (5’2”), cannot read the temperature guide, which is marked on the pop out control knobs rather than on the bezel surrounding the knobs. I’m 6’4” and don’t have the same difficulty, but she has a wee foot stool handy (which she also needs for some of the higher shelves of the wall cabinets). We were also able to find some white decals on the internet to stick onto the black glass bezel around the knobs, just to make life a bit easier but, to be honest, you soon get used to where 180° and 200° etc are on the dial. On the whole, a very good buy.

A great double oven all in all, the bottom oven is great, but I only really use top one as grill as I find top oven a bit weak. Has alot of functions and looks great too

Easy to use ,valve for money ,compared to replacement of a Lulmona double oven ,which was fitted with new kitchen 10 yrs ago .It more economic to run ,heats up quicker, fan is Silent.

Poor reliability, broke after 12 months with an electrical fault.
