There is an expiration on the bottom of each box, but I never pay attention to it really. I buy several boxes at a time and store them in a cool dry place and use them as I need to. I'm sure I have used them well after the date. It's such a fantastic cocoa. And so rich in antioxidants. There really is nothing else like it.

Is this cocoa powder "dutch processed" (meaning alkalinized) or just "dutch" in country of origin?

I'm not sure what you mean, but the cocoa is cocoa powder. It is so much darker and intense in flavor than Hershey's cocoa. My family has enjoyed this cocoa for decades.
