Sterling silver is formed when combining pure silver with copper. Sterling silver jewelry has a 925 stamp, meaning that the composition contains 92.5% silver. It is in violation of Federal Trade Commission policy (§23.6.b) to stamp jewelry 925 if it is not entirely 92.5% silver (selling jewelry stamped 925 on sterling silver plated base jewelry is illegal in the United States). Sterling silver improves the jewelry's durability and delays tarnish. Silver should not come into contact with harsh household chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or chlorine as it may react with the silver and turn it black. To avoid scratches, store sterling silver in a jewelry box. To prevent tarnish, keep sterling silver jewelry in an airtight wrapping, such as a plastic bag, when not in use. Use a polish cloth to remove tarnish.

Solid Italian .925 Sterling Silver
Solid necklace! Genuine Italian made .925 sterling silver. Purchased the 3MM 20" necklace. My pendant's original bail was a bit small to go through the lobster clasp so I bought a larger diameter bail, you can see it on the attached picture.

Pretty, delicate for a bead necklace.
The beads are much smaller than I expected (of course, I didn't really know how big a 1.2mm bead was so my fault there). It is a very pretty chain and I know I'm going to enjoy wearing it. The beads are an almost white silver. The only reason for 4 stars is the strange delay in delivery. It was scheduled to arrive on a Sunday--looked like it had shipped but then everything went kinda blank--I didn't receive it until the following Thursday.

Absolutely beautiful silver! Sturdy, with a great, lobster clasp. Modern design looks wonderful with many of my pendants. The 30" chain can easily go over my head, which is nice. Price was reasonable for the quality. Just what I wanted. The 2mm size is plenty thick. Very happy!

This Sterling Rules!
I bought this to replace a beaded chain that went down the drain pipe of the washing machine. Although each bead is larger than I had on the original necklace, this served to actually make my pendant look better.

Wear this all the time and looks amazing. Got this to replace my existing that broke after 6 years of having. This is exactly what I had but a tad bit longer, which I wanted.

But then the clasp completely fell apart 2 months in all on its own. Build quality doesn't seem very good.
