Sherman Leader offers great solitaire gaming
Relatively easy to learn. Rewards proper tactics and sound force organization. Nearly limitless variation for good replay value. DVG has a good history of detailed, realistic, solitaire wargames, especially in WWII to modern era.

Another great title fro DVG
This is another great title from DVG. This game lives up to their previous high standards for game play, subject matter, and components. Quality all the way around. If you like WWII war games and are looking for a solid tank game for solitaire play you can't go wrong with this title.

A poor game in every respect.
This is a World War Two solo tactical combat game. The premise is fairly straightforward; The player controls a small number of units, representing vehicles such as the M10 Tank Destroyer (inaccurately called the "Wolverine" in the game), or small groups of infantry as Rifles, MG teams, and etc. The player pits his forces against a numerically superior foe whose actions are somewhat randomly controlled. It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. However, the game is substandard from every single angle. The graphics are mostly adequate, occasionally terrible (especially on the counters). The material of most of the game is very cheap gloss that can seemingly glare from every angle. The rulebook is very poorly laid out, making it very difficult to learn how to play the game. In particular, there are modifiers to combat actions, such as range, that are buried in text in the rulebook, but do not show up in any kind of summary table. The rulebook's descriptions are also often vague, for example referring to "AT Units" but does that mean just M1 and M5 anti-tank guns, or bazooka teams and M3 Gun Motor Carriages also?Gameplay is tedious and uninspired. The random table that controls the enemy is extremely limited, and 80-90% of the time, the enemy will move exactly the same way. Also, all enemy units move at exactly the same speed, whether it's a mortar unit or a fast light tank. And targeting isn't even random at all; every unit always fires at the closest target in range. This makes absolutely idiotic strategies the best ones possible, such as sending infantry up to a Panzer so it will target them, while the Panzer ignores the tanks behind the infantry pounding away at it.The game also suffers from the predictable move-and-attack turn order. In combination with the bland table for controlling enemy movement, and a penalty to attacks on the same turn that a unit moved, this means the best strategy is always to sit back and defend, and let the enemy move into range.Maneuvering on the battlefield is only important to get units into range to attack; terrain effects are virtually non-existent, and there are no benefits to attacking an enemies flanks. Each unit can only attack one other unit per turn, so that machineguns get no benefit attacking massed infantry, and a howitzer will only damage one unit, no matter how many others are stacked in the same space. The cardboard tiles and counters are nice and sturdy. That's about the best thing I can think of to say.

Highly enjoyable game
DVG Games are always high quality as is their service! This game is deceptive-the more you play it the more you encounter the depth. As a long time war gamer I have spent many hours with this game and even converted to miniatures to enjoy the full effect. The campaign method is clever and the enemy movement on the map very intuitive.

Very enjoyable game!
As a company, DVG has one of highest quality of products and customer service. This game, in my opinion, is one of their very best (but I have not played them all... yet!) I literally can not recommend this game enough! While there are a very few typographical errors, they presented no problems.
