My First Words (My First Board Books) Cards – 5 July 2018

Bought these for my grandson, he loves them. He even loves the box , and spends time looking at the pictures then putting them back in the box, all part of the fun.I wish there was another box of first words, but with more pictures

I really like these, they are double sided , one side has pictures the other side has things to interact with the child like questions etc..I'm impressed with the quality, thick card - defiantly look like they will last a while, I love that there actual real life images rather then animated pictures, I personally think that's better, and easier to connect/ associate in the real world. I got these for my baby whos coming up to 3 months - as I believe the earlier the better - he has fabulous concentration skills and loves watching me flick through them. so he should have these for a couple years. I've also got the 'animals' touch and feel. Happy with this buy. Only thing I would say is I think it's a good idea to have a variety of flash cards as they all come with different images and words to learn. The box is very sturdy and good quality with velcro so keeps cards nice and intact when putting away after play time.------------------------------------------Review update! 16/01/2020So i started using these cards with my bubbs from 3 months hes now coming up to 9onths! And absolutely loves them, now he picks them up on his own and can associate sounds with a few of them as that's how I've been teaching him, each day he has a favourite card that hes most interested in , it's really amazing to see how he engages with them because I started showing him them so early on I defiantly can tell that he recognises seeing them, he really does look at them and they hold his attention for a while, after going through the pack with him, I just watch him look through them himself and remind him of the words. I would highly recommend this type of activity early on! I can only imagine how he will interact with the cards in a couple months. They still are looking in good quality as he isn't strong enough to Bend them, sometimes attempts biting them but there really strong he does much prefer looking through them!

Just what we expected

Bought these to help with my littles ones speech and recognition and they are amazing, very sturdy and I love the extras on the back of the card to help with learning as they get a little older, just wish there were more cards in the pack

Got these for my mum as she looks after the kids some days and wanted some learning games. Kids and mum love them.

Great product as described

Lovely picture flash cards. What we like is that they are real photos of every day items that our toddler can relate to, not animated. At 16 months he will make the animal sound or run off to point to the related real word. We lay the cards out on the floor and he points to the word or place cards around house next to item. Really handy box for travelling, have just brought for weekend to my parents. The cards are big and chunky, good quality thick card, so toddler can hold but not bend and crumble. On the back of each card there are prompts for the parent when talking about the word, as well as teaching how to say it in Spanish, French, German and Chinese. We had previously purchased first animals which have a touch and feel element.

Really helpful in teaching my toddler to talk. She loves them!
