The playhouse is clad in tongue and grooved timber, making it very strong and stable. The roof and floor of the playhouse is made from solid sheet board which a much better alternative to plywood. The door of the Honeysuckle playhouse has a 12mm gap around the door framing to offer extra protection and safety to your children and their little fingers. The playhouse conforms to TUV European Toy Standards and is completely safe for your children. We have replaced glass windows with styrene glazed windows that are safer to use and would not shatter as easily as glass. The playhouses do not come pre painted, however they do come with a factory basecoat for protection during transit. Poor, quality, poor service .... dont bother!|
I ordered this product before the children's easter holidays, with the idea that the children could use this over the holiday. The product turned up almost one week late. I had to chase up the order on several occasions and was passed from pilar to post, no one wanted to take responsibility for the failure to deliver on time. When I finally did get a delivery date I was assured that it would be in the morning I waited in all day and this was not the case, the product arrived late afternoon.For all of the effort (and wasted money on phone bills) that I went to the company agreed to treat the playhouse with wood stain so that the children could play in it as soon as it was assembled. It arrived looking like it had undergone a bad spraytan, worst still it was still wet in places and I had a trail of wood stain droplets all down the driveway!! My husband then set about putting up the play house, there was not enough screws or wood tacks provided and we had the extra cost and trouble of buying these. In some areas on the inside of the playhouse there were nails sticking out this is unsafe for what is effectively a child's toy. In addition to this given the fact that this is a toy I expected the wood to be smooth to prevent splinters - in several places the wood was rough.Overall the product and service recieved was poor and certainly not what we expected of an amazon product, we would have definately returned this item if our 3 year old had not waited so patiently in the first place for it. My husband had to spend hours re treating, sanding, removing nails and generally making this safe for our children to play in. The is certainly not worth the money or the effort, although now it does look lovely in our garden and our girls love it.
