Beautiful Doodles: Over 100 Pictures to Complete and Create Paperback – May 26, 2008

I have bought several of these doodle books as birthday gifts and, after flipping through this one, decided to buy it as a gift for my mother. Who doesn't like doodling? I secretly want one for myself! This book is large, the pages are nice and thick, and the prompts are lots of fun. Some examples are cupcakes that need decorating, a vase that needs flowers, hats, teacups, shoes, and more are waiting for an imaginative touch. This book is a hit with the elementary age girls to whom we have given it as a gift and it would be a hit with a girl of any age if she enjoys whimsy and has a creative streak. It goes on my list of "affordable luxuries."

We bought this book for our artistic daughter for her 7th birthday. I actually researched a number of kids' doodle books before buying this one (nerdy, I know). She got the book yesterday and has not put it down since.This book is filled with fun, whimsical, starter sketches for little girls to complete. There are fun prompts and opportunities for a lot if imagination. I'm not joking when I say I kind of want a copy for myself. My older daughter, who is 9, also wants one.A fantastic book for little (and not so little) girls!

This book is fantastic! Honestly, it is the only reason I am surviving my Master's Program. There are a lot of pages in this book and it has some basic drawings and then says things like "what hats are the girls wearing" and you draw them! I have purchased others that are more geared for both sexes, but this one is certainly for women and girls! If you love to doodle, you will be happy with this book. I also color the pages as well, just for the fun of it.

I bought this for my niece when she was a baby and saved it for years until she was old enough. Then when I had my own baby girl, I bought her one too! I love how it encourages imagination and creativity instead of literally just coloring in the lines. Highly recommend!

I haven't given this to my daughter yet..her birthday is still a few weeks off, but I was very impressed with the book. I know she will love it! I followed the advice of another and had the binding cut off and had it spiral bound. It only cost $3, and I think it makes the book so much more kid friendly. I can't wait to give it to my daughter.

Both my 9 year old and my 12 year old love drawing and coloring in this beautiful well made book. There are pictures that are complete that you color and also partial pictures that you can finish yourself. I will buy ore of these to use as Christmas presents for cousins and friends's children. Price is fantastic for what you get with this book.

I bought this for my fashionista Daughter. She loves it. Lots of very girly fill in pages. By "fill in" I mean there will be a page with 5 cupcakes already on it and you have to decorate them and then make one entirely on your own. It gives you an idea what to do but then lets you use your own imagination too. She loves it.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I love the imagination of the illustrator and how she leaves enough room for the creator to use their own imagination. I bought this one for a friends daughter who loves to draw. I also bought a different on for my 5 year old who has ADD. He sits and creates longer than if it were just a coloring book. And of course, the price was great.
