Perfect For Experienced Hoopers
Just for reference, I've added a photo to show what a guy in his mid-forties can achieve by hooping. I do go to the gym too, but my core has improved significantly in the last 18-months, thanks to hooping. So, my review...A few weeks ago I purchased one of the foam covered 2KG hoops available on Amazon and it snapped the second time I used it. So, although this hoop was more expensive, I thought I'd give it a go.I notice there are several negative reviews about this hoop because it hurts. Well, if you're a novice hooper then this definitely isn't for you - it's a beast. However, if you want a PROPER workout and you've been hooping a while then this is by far the best hoop you can buy on Amazon. I've used it three times now and yes, it is a little uncomfortable to start with but that's the point of exercise - it's supposed to be a little uncomfortable otherwise you're not working yourself hard enough (and any initial pain does subside). I hoop 3-4 times a week and trust me - this thing will build a sweat. The build quality is significantly better than the foam covered hoop I first purchased and it's reassuring to know there's a 3-year guarantee.Overall, I'm really pleased with the hoop.

Praise all around!
The first impression was that it was monstrous, much bigger than the normal size hula hoop. True to its weight, it is heavy and would (likely) cause some bruising around the hips area when used for the first two times. However, my body was quick to adjust to it and I was using it for 10 minutes without much difficulty. The hoop, despite the size and weight is easier to use than the smaller and lighter hoops. Since my purchase a month ago, I am able to use it for 15 minutes, non-stop (sometimes more) - making at leat XXX-XXX spins. With every use, I can feel my stomach contracting and since I use it early in the morning, it actually aids my 'toileting' needs - ahem. I also notice the change with my waist, regaining the shape of it (as noted by a friend).

Unfortunately, I've had to trigger off a return on the same day that I received this. I'm used to using the lighter 2kg hoop, I tried this heavier one and found it to be no harder than what I was used to. When you're used to using hoops as I am, you notice the difference in weights. I weighed this new hoop and found that it barely scraped 2kg which the company sells at a cheaper price. Needless to say that's why I'm returning it.

Charge £3.99 postage if you want to return product!
I didn't do my research thoroughly enough and ordered this plastic ribbed power hoop. It is as the product says. No argument about that -however, on further research I realised I could buy a padded power hoop. As a beginner it is painful especially when the hoop drops and knocks your legs. I went to return product and find they charge! for return! So people, do research first! you can get padded hoops which would of been probably less painful for a beginner. Will stick with product as why should I lose money on it.

FANTASTIC HOOP
It arrived on time as stated. Wonderful quality , My wife is over the moon with the 2.6 KG one I ordered as she has been doing the hoops for a long time and the 2 KG one she had was too light. She says its heavy but very smooth and does not bruise due to the soft rubber covers on the points. If you are not experienced and less than 65 kg then I would suggest a lighter weight than the 2.6KG.

Super hula!
I have several weighted hulas. This is my favourite, it's a bit like riding a bike in a sense, the seat hurts for a bit when you do it intensely then it's fine! Same applies here, my waist was a little sore then fine. I often do this one and my 2kg together. But this is my go to!

Pros only. Not beginners
I've gone from, 1.2kg 2.1kg and now this one 3.1kg and feel the difference and how its working. Cannot wait to see the results. It pinches but I'm use to that. Been hooping a while. Do not buy for first time

Sturdy hoop.
I do love this hoop and my gymnastic daughters can use it brilliantly but I bought it for myself and for the life of me I cannot hoopla hoop!!! I've tried!!! I will persevere but this is definitely not a hoop for an overweight beginner. It hurts my rib cage so I am constantly braced for pain which puts me off using it. As I said my daughters can do it and I think it's a great idea and great product, my friend has asked for one for her birthday!! She is not an overweight beginner, which in itself I do not understand as I have a lot more padding so you would think it wouldn't hurt as much!!!
