Fair price, but the best we've had for our workshops. Already used many times and each participant has said better than previous ones we've had.

This was my first review honestly stated.No likes. Takes ages to heat. Even on max does burn wood very well unless you are using balsa wood. Harder woods, was damn hard work and not worth the bother . Waste of money but hey ho you live and learn. Not worth the aggro sending it back.Anna from the Manufacturer Perciva China contacted me direct by email. I was initially suspicious of a scam. I forwarded the emails to Amazon. Waste of time. No response. Anna tried many times to make contact. I wrote back to her and established she was genuine.She arranged for a brand new replacement despatched direct from China. It arrived and I have to say this one does the job very well indeed. This is customer after care service at its very best. Thank you Anna well done and the product does what it is supposed to . Hence I now give it 5 stars.

Wouldn't turn on. No power light showing. Changing fuse didn't help. Returned 1 hour after delivery.Edit. I missed the on/off switch concealed by the label. Works fine when you know how to switch it on. Upgraded from 1 star to 4 stars.

Had this a few days and managed to have a play with it, overall i am impressed, quite a bit of kit for the money and seems decent quality as well.Easy to handle, wire is firm but will soften through use i think, the pen itself feels good in your hand and there is a definite knack to using it - my wife is a lot better at it than i am!!I like it includes some bits of wood to practise on and the letter stencil will be useful - need to dig out more of those as like the idea of different fonts as my handwriting is terrible!!Overal great kit, suitable for a beginner (me) and more experienced crafter (my wife) so happy with purchase.

I bought my first woodburner kit around 6 weeks ago (a soldering iron solid tip type) and as a new hobby, loved it, so I decided to upgrade to a wire nib burner. This is so much easier to use with far more control. There are a number available at this price and I selected this one on the basis of the positive reviews and the quality of the support stand. It doesn't have a digital display but this is not a problem. I have found working between 350C to 450C works well. There is an excellent range of wire nibs that come with the kit and you shouldn't need to purchase any more. The pen is comfortable to hold and doesn't get hot. The results are good and everything about this item looks and feels good quality. On many of the similarly priced wood-burners, the reviews comment on the wiring within the pen. I unscrewed the head to the pen on mine to check - it was safely wired with straight wires and long heatproof sleeves over each wire. The pen holder is robust and very safe - I love the way it fits neatly on top of the power supply. I can fully recommend this pyrography kit.

The quality seemed a bit cheap with this but was quite good while wood burning the only problem was I wasn’t very good at it and spent most of my time pressing too hard or burning myself . Didn’t get round to soldering as very much feared for my own safety by that point but all round a good little cheap product for someone just starting out in pyography

Straight out of packet and it won't heat up. Cheap Chinese crap.

Extremely good piece of kit. Works very well. Different temperatures and lots of different tips. Easy to use.
