7 weeks ago we spent a lot of money to re-sod our backyard. We kept our Golden Retriever off of the new lawn for 4 weeks. Within 2 weeks of letting him back on the new lawn his urine was leaving brown spots all over our new grass. I searched everywhere for some kind of artifical grass, hoping I would be able to train him to do his business on that. After looking at Costco and Lowes, and being blown away by their prices I turned to Amazon as I always do and discovered this 4' X 6' roll of synthetic turf. I immediately took the roll of turf to my neighbors house, unrolled it and let their dogs walk and lay on it for 2 days. I brought it back to my house this morning, unrolled it on our concrete patio and my dog was all over it, sniffing away. Within 30 seconds he lifted his leg and urinated. About an hour later he went outside, went right to the turf and urinated a second time. My plan is to fence him off from the real grass for another week or so until he gets completely comfortable using the turf. The turf amazingly looks like real grass, is rubber backed with drainage holes and can be hosed off when it needs to be cleaned. I will update my review in a couple of weeks and let you know how we are doing.

My dog ignores it but now when I have to pee three times I night I make a point to go outside on the balcony at least once to get my money worth.

All of my neighbors love it and always ask if it's real or not. You literally can't tell unless you are crouched down and staring down at it.Installation was easy. 2 recommendations I would make when you're installing this though, use legitimate artificial turf nails and buy some extra heavy duty scissors as these take a lot to cut through (I bought $9 scissors from Lowe's thinking that would be enough but no, I wish I bought the $20-30 ones). Aside from that, just research a few youtube videos on installing artificial just to make sure you're prepared to knock it all out asap.

beware of this seller - i ordered two of these within a month and a half of each other and the quality of the products I received is not the same, one was lush and thick and the other was thin and scratchy. if you want high quality turf, go directly to the manufacturer, ingrass, and not through all turf mats, as the quality is not reliable or consistent.

I needed some realistic faux grass for my photography studio - I do fairy portraits so it also had to be kind to little bare feet. Just received two pieces this morning and I'm completely happy with it. It's realistic and kind to the feet. It brushes up nicely and the two rolls match together seamlessly. I also appreciate the fact that there's no synthetic odor at all. I'll be trying this out with my pet photographs as well. I've seen some pretty ugly faux grass out there, but this stuff is super!

Used this to train my dog on a specific spot to go to the bathroom. I thought it would take a little bit of training to get her into the routine as she is an old and stubborn dog. She picked it up right away, no problems. My roommate's dog (definitely smarter) took to it right away as well. Great piece.

Great product! Easy to install and looks very natural. My neighbor thought I was replacing some grass with a new piece of sod. My dog loves going on it as it is always full and green, drains very well and easy to clean. Would highly recommend this product.
