Bought this to hold my iPad Pro 13" while in my semi truck for mapping purposes. I was skeptical at first but found it was sturdy enough. It is a very tight fit as I keep my iPad in a protective case. I do like that you can adjust and position it in just about any position. Like I said before I wish it opened up just a tad more to accommodate a protective case.

Provides great stability

I am a BIG fan of this tablet holder. I screwed it onto my laptop table right behind where my laptop sits and extend my tablet up above my laptop monitor and make it easily accessible for music/information/etc while leaving my laptop and extra monitor free for business, gaming, etc.This isn't a cheap and chintzy piece of equipment. It has no problems holding up my 11" tablet and has ample adjustments to place this thing either above or to either side of my laptop monitor. I'm confident that this will last a really long time as the materials seem durable and sturdy.I will get another if I need one. This is a great item.

I have a corner where I wanted to mount a tablet to use as a smart home controller, and this worked well for mounting around the corner, but the ball joints don't tighten quite enough to make it immobile in use, letting it flex a bit when tapping on it. It still works well, but metal parts, or at least just the ball joints, would work a bit better.

This is for the 12" model.Pros: Extremely adjustable tablet mount. Very strong, mostly metallic, materials. Does an excellent job securing my tablet where I want. The tablet clamp is made out of a quality resin. It uses a combination of spring pressure, a lockable arm, and rubber feet to secure tablets. It has sufficient spread to grasp (across the horizontal, thinner, axis) a 13 inch, or possibly larger, tablet.Cons: Depends on spring pressure and rubber feet for clamping which, depending on the orientation, could slip. Particularly as the rubber surfaces wear and/or accumulate oils and other contamination.Subjectively, this is a very strong tablet mount with only one potential, minor flaw; a clamp that could slip depending on the tablet orientation. For context, in the item description an image can be found where the clamp is oriented horizontally (the clamp 'fingers' are at the left and right). Looking closer, at the inside of the clamp, an arrow with the word 'Up' can clearly be seen pointing out the right edge of the frame implying the clamp has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise from its naturally up position. This is what I'm referring to. When clamping a pad in that orientation (turning that arrow on its side), only spring tension and rubber friction secures the pad. Some might consider that risky. For me, the largest pad I own is 11 inches so this mount fulfilled my needs perfectly.

Really good build quality. Arm is nice and strong and very easy to use. I actually use it to hold a wireless keyboard/trackpad combo for my sim racing cock pit and it is very stable holding it. The size or length of the arm can be adjusted by removing one of the arm sections by popping out the ball joint.Its the perfect size, since its adjustable, for holding my keyboard by my steering wheel for easy access.All in all, I would recommend this. Works well.

This is super stout. The elbows lock super tight exactly like you would want. I wish that the ball/sockets were the standard size so you could mix and match this with other holders to make Frankenstein units. This works perfectly as a stand-alone unit. I would order again.

I'm not sure if I misremembered, but I thought the product description initially stated that it was made of aluminum. However, when I received the mount, I found that the components are actually ABS. The arm is sturdy enough to hold a tablet or phone, but I have some concerns about the overall build quality.The ball mount feels flimsy, and the screws have no protection or collar, and I worry that they might break or crack the plastic baseplate if their overtightened or through repeated stress or vibration, especially since ABS plastic is sensitive to UV light and can become brittle over time. Which is inevitable, given that the product is designed to be a dashboard mount and will likely be exposed to sunlight and the baseplate will transmit the force of the entire arm into your dashboard.On the plus side, the arm does hold its position well once you've tightened the screws. But, adjusting it can be a bit of a pain, so it's best to set it up how you like it and then leave it. Set it and forget it, and give the evil eye to anyone messing with it. The tablet/phone holder is strong and secure, but it does require two hands to mount and unmount your device. The arm isn't rigid enough to provide the necessary resistance for one-handed use.Additionally, the arm lacks any dampening, which means it will bounce and move around while you're driving. This might be a bit annoying, but it's not a deal-breaker. If it bothers you just over tighten the adjustment screws firmly and use the posts to thread rubber bands or o-rings as shocks, and that will cut down on movement and juddering while you drive. Overall, the product is decent, but it could be improved with better materials and design.
