Very sturdy open rack
This is solid as a rock once assembled, which is pretty straightforward to do. The rack is open so you won't have any issues with heat dissipation, although sound might be an issue depending on what you are racking. This is going to be donated to my local village hall to hold their back stage sound and vision gear. It has a small stage and amateur dramatic society. They don't have a lot of kit but their previous rack was flimsy and I think someone must have stood in it or something as it's bent. This should last much longer and do the job perfectly. There are casters on the bottom. This is useful for moving the rack into place but I would guess you, like me, aren't going to be moving this thing around once set up. I don't think casters are essential, more of a luxury. Certainly nice to have.I did find getting the screws in a little fiddly. Not impossible but worth noting. Just take your time and don't cross thread them. All in all I'm very pleased with this rack. Thoroughly recommended.

The options!
Wow, I picked up a bunch of this Tecmojo stuff to tidy up some equipment which had been living in a stack in a hallway and every piece has been a joy to work with. For a start this rack and shelves set includes all the hardware, excess hardware in fact and pretty much all the other Tecmojo gear is the same. When I say the same, they even go so far as to include the same black cage nuts and screws with everything for a clean matching look. It also all works together, I wanted the shelves hidden from the front so I just double stacked the brush slot and grills on the front with no problems. What struck me with the rack itself was less the rack (it's a rack, what do you want?) but again, the included hardware. It includes feet... but if you don't want feet it includes castors... if you don't want it on the floor they even include wall anchors and a drilling template. In my case I needed a weird setup to account for the step but that was no problem either, all the foot options are just standard M10 threads and so making my own feet was simple! All in all a great experience as not only is the product quality and easy to bring together, it is the exact perfect size for the batteries and equipment that need to be in there.

Excellent rack, perfect for the job
Arrived as part of the Amazon vine review programme.Big fan of this rack, very simple to install and worked great.Pros:Very clear and concise instructions for assembly (but there's not a lot of work required). There's also a drilling template (which I didn't use as wanted the feet) but makes life easier for those mounting this. Tick from me.Loved the labelling, each 1U section is delimited by very clear numbering to help you with mounting tech as levelledEverything you need (which includes the shelves - unlike some) is there ready for a basic rack setup. You also get a choice of fixed or swivel feet + the option of wall mount. Nice touch here.Cons:One of the mount holes still had the manufacturers rubber mould (see pic) which slowed assembly until discovered but this was simply removed by pulling out.The shelf back screws are a little fiddly to start off but will go in eventually - worth a note.n.b. This is an open rack which for me was perfect but some may want the sides. This is however, very clear in its marketing so is not an issue at all for me - it's just worth noting. Conclusion:A well made good sized home or SOHO rack. Clear labelling and plenty of options for locating. Recommended. Thanks AMZ

Solid and sturdy little mini rack shelf
I am not using this for business or prodiuctive purposes. I just self host a few things at home and dont even actaully have any rack mountable gear. I have some servers in SFF PCs with switches and other netwroking gear. But htis rack shelf has made a big difference to the way I organise my equipment. I am really liking it.It is super easy to put together , teh instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Its just bits of steel at the end of the day and I cant comment on the steels strength or toughness but the powder coating is pretty thick and durable.Because I am not using rack mountable servers and gear So my items are just sitting onteh shelves there is a tiny bit of sag in the shelf from my HP prodesk SFF and 5 bay HDD external backplane caddy. BUt its minor Im not that bothered by it.The only minor gripe with this item is that some of the screws are a bit awkward to get in as some of the holes the threading is a bit rough or non-existent. but with some persistance that can be overcome and once its put together you never worry about that again so its a minor issue that can be ignored.Oh actually there is one more issue that is a bit of a bother. Im not an IT network person so I dont know what is convetional in setting up rack shelves and rack mounted gear, so maybe I am doing somethign incorrect BUT I dont like the shape of the back lower back plate that joins the two sides together. It unnecesarily covers some of the rack nut holes. therefore you lose some useable height.I also got a 4U rack drawer that I wanted to isntall on the bottom of this unit but because of the back plate the ideally located rack nut holes are blocked so instead I used only one nut hole on each side to secure the drawer instead of two. I wont be putting anything too heavy into the drawer so I'm ok with that. This may actually be unconventional what I am doing but Im just mentioning it.
