This book arrived in prompt time and has a wealth of information detailing the historical events year by year. It is also well illustrated.

Very well laid out with great illustrations, less that half price compared to the high street stores.

Now I don't usually like listening to anyone going on about Kings and Queens etc dates etc as I've never been interested in dates, but I do love architecture and the arts and archaeology. When I first opened this book it's so easy to read and explains everything so easily and in a sort of timeline with pictures and words of course, but easy to understand and if you want to see when something was built eg the pyramids it's easy to find.So after saying all the above it's changed my mind about history. Should have copies of this book in every school.

Bought for an elderly lady to enjoy, unfortunately the print is very small, too small, lovely , otherwise it is a very interesting book for someone with normal eyesight.

It's obviously a very condensed history book. It's not intended to be a history lesson but to provide a wide range of general knowledge so the reader can dig in deeper from other sources on those topics that she or he finds more interesting

A great quick reference/ attractive easy to use
