Review: I remember being intimidated by Trigons in Dell Magazines' publications when i was growing up; they seemed impossible to crack, and their hand-written numbers were a strange anomaly in an otherwise carefully typeset puzzle magazine. Well, this book actually got me into solving them. It helps that the first puzzles are smaller, with triple-4 trigons as the largest; this gives the beginning solver a bit of a helping hand. The puzzles quickly escalate to the standard triple-6 size, and even go above that by the end of the book. And these puzzles are *tough*. I'm a big puzzle nerd, and single triple-6 puzzles in this book regularly take me over an hour to solve.. There's usually a burst of activity at the start, when you fill in the "gimmes," and then progress grinds to a halt for a while. I've come up with a complex notation to track possibilities, and it still sometimes fails me. But I've yet to encounter a puzzle that couldn't be cracked with a heavy dose of perseverance. Sometimes I have to put the book aside for a couple of hours, frustrated with being stuck... but I inevitably come back and crack the puzzle open. (Well, maybe more like "very slowly pry it open," but that doesn't have quite the same level of pizzazz, does it?) I have only one nitpick, which is that the largest puzzles are hard to make notes in due to the small size of the constituent trigons. But that's a necessary consequence of the size of the book, and I consider all of the puzzles greater than triple-6 sized a sort of bonus anyhow. (That said, a bigger format for future books would be nice.) In terms of value for time spent, this book is a steal. In terms of brain-melting puzzle-y goodness, well, you've come to the right place. Strongly recommended. Review: I thought that I was really good at these things. But, wow, are some of them hard. I haven't even tried the 21/32 puzzles. Maybe it's not fair to rank it 4 stars because I am not smart enough to do all of them. Actually, the reason that I rate it 4 stars is because of the binding. It is solid, not falling apart, but I like to do these things while lying in bed before going to sleep. The book does not fold over so it is hard to do the puzzle on the left hand side. A spiral binding would be much better. There is no order to the difficulty i.e. they don't get more difficult as you go along - a brutal one will be stuck in the middle of several easier ones.

This book contains great puzzles. There are enough puzzles to do this book multiple times and not remember answers. I have actually. It is a nice size to give you room to write in the answers. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this book.
