Not the easiest to clean but they work well, and I appreciate that they come with a spoon rest (pretty rough). The holder is wood looking plastic, which is really disappointing, but it still looks nice as a set on display. For the record I had to do a return & reship per a spoon was majorly chipped upon arrival in my first set, but it was a fairly easy process. Second set arrived in great condition & quickly. I like the variety of types of utensils. All in all, nice set - I recommend.

I will start my review with saying that this is a very nice set. The tequila is beautiful with a nice dark tone. The variety of tools is very nice as well, and I especially like the strainer spoon. The spoon rest and holder are very nice as well. Overall this is a very attractive set.I do have a concern, however. It looks to me like there is some type of product applied as a finish. I can't find any mention of it on the product page. It would be helpful to know if they claim the finish is food-safe. Regardless I still have concerns about it. In my opinion, any finish that is exposed to heat will potentially cause that finish to break down, and get into your food. Is it a lacquer or some type of polyurethane? That would be helpful information.Since these utensils have that finish, I will not be using them for anything that involves heat, or for acidic products, like vinegar. I may take the time to sand the finish off of these utensils and use a butcher block oil to treat them. If I do, I'll update this review with my results.This is a nice set, just keep in mind the issues posed by the finish. Thank you for reading my review.
