Worth the switch
I have two small breed dogs, one getting on in years and one that is a few years old. They couldn't be more different when it comes to dietary preferences and needs, so shopping for food takes a lot of hard work and research. I make changes in their diet every two years, so that they don't become bored or fussy with meals. New foods are slowly introduced to lower any digestive impact and so far this has worked for us wonderfully. We have been very loyal to the Applaws brand of dog food for the current feeding cycle, with 75% protein. I don't feed my dogs a lot of wet because I want to avoid bad teeth and breath in old age, but I look for good protein content and less filler. Applaws was good mixed with another small breed variety, which has tiny kibbles that my Jack Russell appreciated. The large bag sizes that I wanted seem harder to find now that I'm replenishing stock, so I did some looking and came across Arden Grange. The protein content isn't as high as Applaws, but it's significant enough that I decided I could do away with a mixer and simply use this brand full time. I was dishearted to see that small breed variety is only sold in small sacks, which is annoying to me since I have more than one pet and prefer to buy in bulk for convenience. By volume it's also much more expensive, which does bother me. I decided to take a chance on the Adult variety, in both Chicken and Lamb flavours and then monitor my dogs at their bowls. The food is fragrant, and both my dogs were curious immediately. I'm happy to say even my Jack Russell is happy with the kibble size. He is an expert bowl noser, and I quickly noticed that he was nosing the new food bits so that he could eat them first over the old brand so that is a real stamp of approval. I think Arden Grange will be a staple for my dogs for the while, the price is very attractive and I'm able to buy in the size that I prefer despite the discrepancy in price for breed sizes. The protein content is competitive with other brands, and it's obvious my dogs are happy with their new meal. I've managed to please them and also save myself both time and money, so I'm lucky to have found this range.

The dog likes it!
Providing the diet is kept in an airtight container the food lasts a good while. The lamb and rice version is good for dogs with sensitive digestion.

Great Product
Would recommend this product. My dog was from rescue centre and had had to have an operation on his stomach as be spent his first months scaverging before being rescued. As result his digestion is easily upset - the rescue centre recommended this brand and he has thrived. His coat shines - even strangers have commented on it, he's full of energy and eating this product has helped maintain a stable weight. He started on the salmon flavour, then we gradually introduced him to the chicken and more recently the lamb. We have had him about 4 years now and though we buy other brand treats we only buy this brand for his meals. To give him a change we do still change the order every now and again - his personal favourite is the lamb, though. The food keeps really well whatever the time of the year and doesn't seem to have a strong smell. I just make a slit big enough for our measuring cup, seal it with a polyclip and keep it in a cool place. The bag it comes in is great, as its strong and doesn't split. I have found this brand to be really good value for money - having looked at other brands, I would say its in the middle price range.

Solved my dogs digestion problems. Best dog food I've tried with my dogs.
If your dog has an easily upset stomach, and it's stools are soft or often diarrhea, there's a good chance the Lamb Arden Grange will resolve it. My dog has a problem with dog food containing chicken, so I have to avoid that or I end up with a mess to clean up when I come down stairs in the morning. Not what you want when you've just woke up. This Lamb Arden Grange brings his coat out nicely, and hardens up his stools. I feel him this food and restrict tit bits almost completely. When I feed him any tit bits, his stools soften up again to the point of it being hard to pick up with a poop bag when out a walk. This is enough for him, he's a well muscled Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, with a soft shinny coat and full of energy. I've had other dogs and I've tried all the Premium Branded dog food. I can honestly say this Arden Grange Lamb is the best I've tried with my dogs.

My two dogs love it.
My oldest dog used to eat beneful dry food from a pup until he was 4 years old. When we couldn't get hold of any anymore we struggled to find a replacement for him. He would not eat any of the big branded food, he just turned his nose up at it. He only survived for the 3 months that we were looking for a replacement by eating what we were eating. Went to a local pet shop instead of the big branded ones, they suggested Arden Grange. Bought it and he's been happily eating it for the past 3 years. We were so impressed that when we got a puppy that would eat anything 2 years ago we just put him straight onto Arden Grange puppy food. He now eats the same as his big brother. Very happy with Arden Grange dog food and would recommend to anyone that can't find a band for their dog.
