Homewerks 7130-40-BT DC Bathroom Fan with Light and Bluetooth Speaker 90-CFM 1.2 Sones White Easy Install, 4000 Kelvin Cool White Light

I had someone to install this for me. It works great, strong quiet fan. Some people complain about the light being to bright, seems fine to me, I don't look directly at it, so no problem.

Teenagers like the Bluetooth music option, good air flow, and works as it was designed. Did not take long to install color is as it is described not too heavy and at a little over 7.25” square it was a good fit without having to cut a bunch of ceiling for the installation. Recommended and was less than the big hardware stores shipped to the door.

A little more hum than expected

The media could not be loaded. This is a great bathroom fan at a good price. I have just installed it but I’d expect it to last. It moves much more air than my previous cheap fan and while being quiet. I like the flush design and illuminated light. The brightness is perfect for a smaller bathroom, it’s not too bright. One complaint would be the area to store the wires after connected is basically nonexistent. It’s as if they had to fake it for compliance but you’re not fitting anything in there. So plan to use another method or enclosure for safety, if a spark would occur.

Great deal on this nice fan light. I am very happy with this. It's well made. Lights up nicely and the fan works well.

The speaker volume is pretty average, which might be fine/expected. However, it's power is tied to the fan wiring, not the light. That means the fan (even though it's quieter than previous models) has to be running and conflicting with the already quiet speaker. It's a poor design choice, the speaker needs to be powered by the light wiring in future models. You don't always want a fan running, that's the whole point on a 2 switch system.

After installing the 7141-80 model on another bathroom we decided to install this one in our main bathroom. The bathroom is rather small, with less than 60 square feet area. The previous unit was an old and noisy NuTone 696N; this new unit requires about the same size cutout on the ceiling, but the exhaust duct goes in the opposite direction; it also requires a 4" conduit instead of the 3" used by the NuTone (plan the installation to include a replacement conduit; while you can buy an adapter to match the 4" outlet to the existing 3" conduit doing so will reduce the performance of the fan and make it more noisy).The result is a great improvement, both on the performance of the extractor and how good it looks. The Light fixture finish we selected was the brush-nickel which matches the bathroom accessories. There are other color choices that may go better with your bathroom. the light fixture casing is all plastic so you don't have to worry about rust. It's easy remove for cleaning (the metal wire clips are wide but not too rigid). While the LED lights are not replaceable we expect them to last several years and hope the manufacturer will sell a replacement in case it fails. We feel that this is a high quality product, priced way below the competitors without sacrificing performance and functionality.
