120 slide set probably has just about any specimen you might want in a prepared slide
The PALOBIL 120 Prepared Microscope Slides for Kids is mostly going to be better for older kids. Younger kids are probably going to get the most out of the insect slides because it is easier to understand what you are looking at and you don't need a high magnification for these slides. I recommend the 120 slide set for beginners because it has many more insect parts than the smaller sets. Many of the slides, especially the bacteria and micro-organisms require a knowledge of microbiology to understand what you are looking at. The slides seem to include many of the specimens that are studied in introductory microbiology courses. Here is a list of the 120 slides:1 Young Root of Broad Bean C.S.2 Zea Root Tip LS3 Root of Gossypsum Hirsutum C.S.4 Radish Root C.S.5 Lower epiderm of leaf of Spiderwort W M.6 Rapeseed Flower C S7 Lower epiderm of leaf of horsebean W M8 Tendon Sec9 Sunflower Stern. Works well for older kids
The pictures are worth more than any words I can write. These slides are glass, well made, well dyed. For kids, they are excellent. I supplied a few samples taken at the same focus but varying between Kohler, phase and my own version of dark-field-phase.Under Kohler illumination these are excellent. They show up way better in real life. My camera could not do it justice.Even though these are meant for kids, so just plain illumination, they still work surprisingly well with the far more demanding phase contrast for some specimens. Not all worked well with phase contrast but many did. If they work well with phase, they will be excellent for their intended purpose. The slides are well labeled, have rounded corners so are safer. The box works to hold them and stop them from flying around. They came well packaged, no broken slides and nothing out of place. This may be targeted for kids, but it is a well made set of slides for anyone with an interest in microscopy.

Great Educational Toy, But Needs Magnification Guidance
This set of 60 prepared microscope slides is a fantastic way to introduce children to the microscopic world. The slides are well-made and easy to handle, even for young children. The variety of specimens is impressive, and it's clear that a lot of thought went into selecting them.I especially appreciated the labels on each slide and the corresponding catalog. This made it easy to identify and learn about each specimen. The slides are also well-protected in their individual slots, which is important for preventing damage. My only minor criticism is that the set doesn't provide guidance on the recommended magnification for viewing the specimens. We used a kids microscope with 75x magnification, and while some slides were clear, others were difficult to see. It would be helpful if the product description included this information.Overall, this is a wonderful educational toy that I highly recommend for curious children. It's a fun and engaging way to spark an interest in science and the natural world.

I like em….
These are amazing although I wish there was more a little more detail in some of the slides but that’s more of a personal preference. I have three different microscopes and these slides fit all three with no problem.

Great Set of Slides
These slides showed up packaged very well and look great under the microscope. The image attached looking through the microscope lens is the cardiac muscle tissue, but a lot of them are really neat. Great for stoking scientific curiosity in kids, and admittedly even in adults like myself!

Great for home schooling, or just learning in general
In case you've missed the digital microscope revolution these last few years, it's now super affordable to get a very, very nice microscope for your home lab. And these slides give you all sorts of really cool things to look at! There's all sorts of magic hidden beneath our usual resolution threshold. This is an excellent kit -- it comes well packaged to protect it from the trauma of shipping. Love it!

Great Collection of slides
I’m thoroughly impressed with this 120 prepared microscope slide collection! The variety of specimens is fantastic, covering a wide range of subjects from biology to botany, making it perfect for both beginners and more experienced microscope users. Each slide is clearly labeled, making it easy to identify and learn about the specimens. The packaging is exceptional—everything arrived in pristine condition. The slides are securely stored in a sturdy box with individual slots to keep them safe and organized, which I really appreciate. The slides themselves are high-quality and crystal clear under the microscope, providing excellent detail for observation.Overall, this collection is a great value for anyone interested in exploring the microscopic world. Highly recommended!
