looks good, great value, good for summer, lets lots of air through
I like the looks although mine only came as black/white, no red :( and it is comfortable except the liner makes getting arms in touchy, gotta guide your arms in carefully. With the liner out, this is a great summer jacket, and tons of air gets through. The liner does not block much wind, just a little, so below 65, you will need an additional shirt. The liner goes in/out quite easily. The liner did keep me mostly dry. One spot near the zipper leaked a little, but I only got caught in rain once, for 15 min. I fear if you were in rain for 30 min+, you would be wet.

Perfect Jacket for the price!
I do not write reviews very often but I had to write one about this jacket.THIS IS A VERY WELL MADE COMFORTABLE WATERPROOF JACKET.YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND THIS QUALITY AT THIS PRICE.Yes, there are better jackets that cost a lot more that do not have as many features of this jacket. I have a very well made Alpinestars jacket that cost more than twice as much as this jacket with the same features. Pilot Motorsports has upgraded the zippers throughout the jacket and they do not appear flimsy. They engage well and work smoothly. I am 5.8 with a 42-43 inch chest and the size large fits perfectly. It’s a bit on the snug side but I like my jackets that way. If you intend wearing layers of warm clothes underneath you will need to go up a size. The sleeve length is perfect for the riding position and the sleeve Velcro and adjustment straps allow a very snug fit. A large number of strategically placed pockets round out a fantastic product. I have the matching pilot motorsports Omni air over pants and it is a perfect match!

3 Years in, second Pilot jacket and I wouldn't change a thing
I've had three jackets so far and two have been Pilots. I'm to the point now that I just hope they don't stop making them any time soon. I've had this jacket I'm reviewing for 2 years. I regularly ride with:- Cell Phone- Work keycard- Loose change for tolls- State inspection card- Insurance card- Wallet- Garage door openerThis jacket is the only one that has achieved the task of carrying all that *without feeling overloaded*. I ride at least a couple times a week, and this year I've ridden every day that it hasn't rained. I don't ride with the interior liner as I usually put the bike up around November and get it back out early March. The jacket is still in like-new condition, and I still trust it to protect me in a crash. I have the silver jacket and I think the design looks great for a jacket that can fit all tastes. I also appreciate that Pilot doesn't excessively brand their jackets, as I don't want to be a walking logo for your product. In fact, because they have minimal (and appropriate) branding, and considering my experiences with them, I'm happy to go out of my way to recommend their products to any who will listen. This is a solid jacket at a very comfortable price point with the features and looks that are there when you need them but fade to the back of your mind when you don't so you can relax and experience the ride.

I liked it, except for the lining
I liked the jacket, except for one important factor: the zip-out lining. This jacket features a mostly-mesh, light lining which felt quite flimsy, though it may have properties I don't appreciate enough. The very loose fit of the lining in the jacket body and sleeves made it very awkward to put on and remove, and that is the only design factor I didn't like. I'm 6'1", 190 pounds, and the fit was very good otherwise. I would consider a Pilot jacket with a different lining, such as a simple quilted one. BTW, I rated this jacket four instead of three stars because I truly appreciate the relatively modest labeling on the outside, and that's an important reason I'll continue to consider a Pilot option.

Exceeded expectations. Buying this was really an easy choice in the end.
In planning a long trip (at least for me), I decided to find a warm weather alternative to my old leather jacket. Sitting at stop lights in the sun lets you know what a lobster in the pot feels like. I did much research here on Amazon before pulling the trigger on this jacket. It came right on time and fit just right. I'm 6' 2" and ~200lbs. and ordered the XL.As many others have said, it does look better in person. I love the zip-in zip-out liner, and found myself switching as the days warmed or cooled. It took less than five mins. to pull over and do this right on the bike. As far as protection, I feel well protected between this jacket and my full face helmet. It breathes so well I can zip it up, whereas my leather jacket mostly stayed unzipped leaving my torso vulnerable in case of a crash. Wearing the Pilot in 80s F and in direct sunlight was no problem at all.In the first few days, I did find loose threads that needed to be trimmed off. Otherwise, I feel like the value of this jacket is fantastic. Although I can't compare it directly with pricier models, I can tell you these can get very expensive. I was having service done at the BMW dealer (I ride an Airhead) and looked at the jackets - ouch! Overall this met and exceeded my expectations. I'd give it 4.5 stars.

Size Up no matter what anyone tells you.
Start by saying, I'm 6'2" 215lbs with a 42" chest. I went with XL Large and it fits perfect! I live in the midwest and needed a summer jacket instead of leather for the hot weather. First week I had the jacket the morning temps where around 55 degrees. With the liner in, it kept me warm enough. Later in the week got a chance to test it in light rain, warm and dry. Love the neck/collar strap, keeps the rain and wind out.The weight of the jacket is less than my leather but still has some weight to it. If I ever hit the ground again, this should protect me as well as my leather. Has 2 outer hand pockets, maybe your girlfriend or kid can use them. They are deep enough, you just have a VERY hard time putting anything more than your fingers in them.So how is it in the heat? Temps in the mid 90's here in Missouri and without the liner and anything above 5mph and the jacket felt great and moved the air better than my free flow helmet. It's been a couple of weeks and I'd say the jacket is a success for a 3 seasons. The price cannot be beat, great fit and look.

Very Impressed
I had no experience with this type of jacket and bought it on the recommendation of my nephew. It's great! Fits perfectly and performs exactly as promised. With the liner in it's wind and waterproof, take the liner out and it can be worn on an 85 degree day with no overheating issues. Also love the Hi Vis.
