My husbands service dog is a pure breed lab , sounds great right? Hmm not so much after a few months of him being sick ( he came to live with us when he was done with training at 1 1/2 years) one of the vets at our practice said hmmm I think this could be food allergies. After over 1000 in vet bills she hit the nail on the head and we got him on the right food, hes happy we are happy no more bi weekly vet visits and he gets to have treats ! This works great in conjunction with the same food, if you are going crazy with stomach issues try a small bag of the food and these after 3 days it was like a different dog.

Thankfully, my allergy boy likes these treats. They are pricey, but they're the only treats my boy can have other than carrots. Apollo is on the same brand/type of kibble for eight weeks. Hopefully, he will make an improvement. If he needs to stay on this food and treats long term, then so be it. The treats were fresh with an expiration date 1+ year out, and they were in good shape, not broken up as some reviewers have mentioned. It's unfortunate that the manufacturer doesn't make a larger bag. I hope this review helps someone make an easier decision.

I know this product gets a bad rap flavor-wise. Many reviews say that their dog simply won’t eat them, and I’m sure that’s true. But my dog LOVES them. They are light and airy, and have limited ingredients, and since my dog was just recently diagnosed with Cushings, we’ve had to change his diet to a very bland one so that we can lower his fat intake. These are perfect for that, and allow us to give him a few more snacks throughout the day when he’s in the “Cushings” starving mode. If your dog has to be on a limited diet due to allergies or Cushings or any other condition, it’s worth trying. The high protein also helps complete his balanced diet.

This is a vet recommended treat for my dog who is on a special diet, but they are quite expensive for the amount you receive. It appears that the treats are high in demand which has made shipping take awhile. Order early and often if you need to keep them on hand in your home.

My dog developed an insulinoma on his pancreas and had to have it removed. He was put on a hydrolyzed protein diet. This was the only treat he could have. He’s very treat oriented and I was thrilled to find this for him. Unfortunately, the manufacturer, PURINA, has decided to stop manufacturing it. I’ve been unable to find another. My poor boy will not have treats for the rest of his short life.

fat content is limited so it is suitable for a dog with pancreatitis. They look a little like cardboard but my dog seems quite happy with them. The calories are a little high for a small dog but they break easily. Glad they are available.

My dog is a picky one, we have been giving him the same treats for years and we just recently found out he may be allergic so we had to find new ones that won't upset his stomach. I was worried since he doesn't like change but he has loved these so far and no more upset stomach!

This is the 2nd time I ordered this treat. I went by the picture on the bag, which show the treat as being square. I ordered this since my Vet gives this to Lizzie as a reward. This is the 2nd time the shapes are round not like the one on the bag. Is it discontinued? If so than change the bag.

Bought 4 packets and one packet was not properly sealed/airtight. Remaining 3 packets were fine. Was unable to get a refund for the damaged pack.Otherwise the snacks are good and reasonably priced.
