When I decided to try these teas, I got them thinking that I was simply getting a green tea that also included some additional flavors that were all natural, and therefore the tea was being labeled as slimming. Well, that was almost correct. The tea when you open a box does have the fragrance of different fruits, but that does not transfer to the actual flavor of the tea, which tends to be very neutral. Even adding a dab of honey or sarsaparilla extract does nothing to augment the flavor to make it tasty close to what is on the box. Essentially the aromatics seem to dissipate once the tea is brewed, but then it may have something to do with how long I brewed the tea or the temperature That I chose to heat the water.Sienna - read up on it. This is a natural laxative. It is present on the ingredient list for these teas. If you’re thinking that you are going to just drink this tea in the middle of the day during lunch or with breakfast just be prepared for the internal reaction that may occur. Even though that reaction I’m alluding to should take somewhere between 4 to 12 hours to manifest. I found that in drinking a 6 ounce glass of this tea. I was surprised four hours later by the results.None of what I’m saying is to negatively reflect upon the product and just saying that this tea is meant for a slimming affects, and as such there is not meant to be everyone’s daily tea consumption. I’m just glad that I found out before I went to try and sample each one of the boxes over a 24 hour. Because I suspect I may have ended up with More of a surprise then the one that I got after my first sampling.At $28 MSRP for 6 boxes of 25, this may be worth a try.

Here's the thing; it's not too bad as green tea. It's kind of what I expected; imagine bottled green tea with artificial and natural flavors. And that's fine. As the self-proclaimed top 100,000 tea drinking reviewer, I'd say the fruit scent is subtle but fair. Some days I like the light flavor of one bag, and other days I just use two bags to get a strong amount of flavor, but that's a me preference. Perhaps the more important part though, this is a pretty good colon cleanser, if that's what you're looking for. When I took it in the morning, I felt it throughout the day; at lunch and dinner. I think it makes me a bit more thirsty as well, so watch out for that too.More importantly to me, and maybe to those who want to know about the slimming features, the instructions says that this tea works best after your last meal of the day. You know, it'd be nice to know a rough estimate of the tea's caffeine content especially if I'm to drink this after dinner. For the average person, the last meal of the day is dinner, and typically 1-3 hours before bed. I'm a bit sensitive to caffeine after 5 pm nowadays, so I'd prefer a warning or an acknowledgement about this. Even if say the reader isn't sensitive to caffeine, if, let's say that a green tea has 25mg caffeine, and maybe you want to drink the max (3 cups, or 3 tea bags worth), that's 75mg—about a cup of coffee. Idon't think that'll be great idea right before bed. Furthermore, the detox cleansing portion took me about 4 hours to upset my intestines (as intended). I don't think that'll be fun to wake up to either.

Flavor great

Not thrilled with these teas. Flavor is pretty meh in strength, taste and aroma. Compared to all other 'slimming' teas (which tend to noticeably aid with digestive and elimination), these do neither. Worst of all... they leave a gross oily film behind on the surface! There are lots of great brands on the market, so definitely won't be buying these again.

When drinking these Hyleys Slim Tea Variety Pack – 6 Flavors I have to think of it as a slimming supplement and not a delicious relaxing cup of tea. I don't think I could drink this regularly because of the effects it has on my digestive system which is very sensitive.The flavors I prefer in order are: Pineapple, Mango, Pomegranate, Acai, Goji.

So let's talk about the different aspects here:Presentation:While the box itself isn't going to wow you like a box of Celestial Seasonings would, one of the things that caught my eye was how the assortment box had the name of each tea printed on the side, which made it much easier to pick out, since the Goji Berry and Raspberry flavor have a very similar colored sleeve.The sleeves themselves are made of a smooth plastic film instead of the traditional paper envelope design.As for the bag, it's simply stapled to the string and it has a cute little saying, which makes every tea drinking experience quite unique.Flavor:Herbal teas are not quite as punchy as green, black or red teas — with that said, I could very well taste each flavor.The video here shows roughly 10 oz. of tea and the picture preceding it shows the final hue once it's steeped for 2 minutes. Now note that the box says the serving size makes 8 oz. — so if you choose to make 10, 12, 14, or 16 oz. — yes, the flavor is going to be remarkably weaker.Price: At 18 cents per bag, it's usually a little more than your standard tea bag. However, the price is consistent for specialty teas like other pineapple and goji berry teas.Claims: As for the "slimming" part, that's difficult to evaluate for me because I'm not trying to lose weight.Herbal tea is supposed to be a gentle laxative, meaning it will help stimulate your bowels over time. This isn't a shot of double espresso that will send you tumbling to the loo. However, I find it rather irresponsible to have a photo of someone measuring her waist when this tea doesn't really have any slimming properties, it just helps you go if you have it periodically around the same time every day.
