Remote does not work

Ordered one of these through W00T, and it was defective. As soon as I turned it on I could hear a pretty bad bearing tick coming from the motor. Normally I'd chalk this up to bad luck and rate the fully functional replacement product I received.However Dysons customer service is so terrible I still have to give it a poor review. Dysons overseas customer support is exceptionally terrible, then beyond that it's a hassle to get the defective product serviced. You either have to pay to ship the giant box back to dyson, which would probably cost half as much as the whole fan, or take it to a local service center, that doesn't do appointments, for first come first serve repairs. I opted to drive the 45 minutes to the local service center which wasn't a horrible experience. That was probably because I got there when they opened so I was first on line, but it took about 3.5 hours including travel to and from just for them to tell me: "Yes, the motor is bad, we can't repair it here, we're going to take your defective unit and dyson will ship you another refurbished unit within 2 - 7 business days."The replacement refurbished fan just showed up today just over 2 weeks later. This one actually works good, but the thing is was not cleaned well and still has old grime on it from the previous owner I guess.It's a shame their customer service was so bad, because this one that works, even though it's kinda grimy, works really well. It's very quiet yet powerful and it probably does a pretty great job filtering the air with that multilayer carbon filter.
