Didn't expect much but was quite impressed. I've ordered leather travel bags in the past and have learned the hard way the photos don't always jibe with reality. The bag is a bit smaller than a regulation check-in, so consider this is a great personal bag for weekends, etc. If you want to pack it as a carry-on, you may want a slightly larger bag. Not small by any measure, just not maxed out. In any event, the leather is full thickness and feels like a saddle. Stitching appears straight and true with very strong gusseting and handles sewn into straps that run down the entire height of the bag for what should be very strong weight bearing ability. The looks of the leather bears little resemblance to the photos which, in my opinion appear a bit bizarre. There are no crazy lines and patches of color, thank God. The leather simply looks distressed, varying between brown and tan with a dull, dusty oiled leather look. I tried scratching with my fingernail over the attached luggage tag creating a light tan line in the leather. Rubbing it with my finger it was almost gone. Love the ability of the bag to do hard work for years and look great distressed. I'm sending 2 of the bags back to Amazon but will definitely keep this one and a larger carry on. The "fine Italian" bag I was interesting in comparing to this one? Not so fine. The quality of this bag is top notch and it will look great with jeans or khakis. A black suit? Maybe not, if you care about that sort of thing. I've now been through 6 bags and while not the biggest bag I own, it is among the best I've seen for quality and looks. Seems to me this bag will be the last I'll need to buy.

I purchased this beautiful bag for my husband who is very particular about his leather products. Boy did you hit it “out of the park”! Racing home from work to get ready for a business trip, and flying to take a shower, he rushed past our room, only to stop in his tracks because his periferal vision had caught sight of your beautiful bag, which he then exclaimed, “Whoa! That’s gorgeous!! (Needless to say, his packed bag was a surprise). Now, if you knew my husband, you’d know, he’s very laid back, doesn’t really react too much, but this was truly the best reaction to date! As a matter of fact, he mentioned that individuals at the airport, flight, and hotel kept making comments on just how beautiful the bag was.

I really like this bag it has this rough, simple, and unsophisticated look to it. Yet it is very stylish and high-class, it is the perfect carry-on size for any airline. You would be surprised how much you can carry inside this bag. The only down side to this bag is that the color bleeds in very humid weather conditions. Do not wear a white t-shirt, wrap this bag around your shoulders and go to some place with 80% humidity. You’ll end up with a camouflage white and brown t-shirt and stained jeans. Other than that it is a good looking bag.

It's real leather, handmade, looks super stylish and something worth $1,000. I recently took it as my overhead bin carry-on item for a 3-day weekend trip with: 1 pair of shoes, 1 dress shirt, 1 pair of denim jeans, 2 long sleeve t-shirts, 3 short sleeve t-shirts, belt, underwear/socks, toiletry bag (full), and a 15 inch MacBook + charger. All of that fit in there, a little tight only because of the laptop and I had no issues closing the zipper.If you're into style/fashion, appreciate handmade leather items, you won't be disappointed with this bag. Looks really manly too.

I've had this for a few months, and used it several times. It's well made, looks better than the pics. and is big enough to hold a weeks worth of clothes. I just got back from a party bus tour to Reno, and people had their stuff in hard sided suitcases, backpacks, even plastic shopping bags(?).Having a nice leather duffel with a shoulder strap made life much easier. I got a couple of complements on it. My advice is to store it with a pillow in it so it doesn't develop creases.

First impression upon receiving and after traveling with this carryon is, very impressed. For the price, I was not expecting this quality. Very nice leather which wears in beautifully.Nice size to fit under an airline seat, as well as those tiny overhead bins on regional jets. Quality, metal zippers, buttons and clasps. Padded, adjustable shoulder strap. I ordered the mulberry color because I wanted a darker, oiled look, and it didn't disappoint. Medium-dark brown with a slight bit of red hue and lots of variation character.Definitely worth the price, and this manufacturer has several sizes available to fit your needs.

This is an excellent bag for the money. Other reviewers have already said it all.You get a classic looking, well made leather bag that costs 1/4 of what it should. The pictures don't really do the bag justice and imho actually they look cheaper than the product you get.This would certainly hold enough for a long weekend getaway for a guy. I have not traveled with it yet but this bag would not fit under a seat of an airplane if it was full.No bad smells or oils/dyes rubbing off.Feels like it will last more than a lifetime :)

This is a bag for those who appreciate and understand leather. The natural markings on mine are not as pronounced as on the photographs but they are very much present. The bag is not lightweight – 1.8 kg as described – which reflects the thickness and quality of the leather. Rather stiff when arrived; some may prefer it this way, but I softened the leather with Lord Sheraton balsam. This takes a bit of patience and some bending and squashing, but the result is worth it: a bag that is sufficiently rigid to hold its shape well but yields nicely when handled.The design is both tasteful and functional: the handles and the strap are attached in a very secure way, distributing the stress on the material. This is a practical, sturdy piece – of the kind that looks better with every scratch and abrasion acquired. What seems to be missing is a pocket on the outside, but this would probably be detrimental to the very balanced look of the bag.

Amazing bag , looked so expensive , my husband got loads of compliment , the only loophole I would say is that it is little heavier , like I being a lady wasn't comfy lifting it. But still a very nice purchase .

Very stylish and I've had a lot of compliments from people about how nice it isStorage wise it's good too, has a zip compartment which I keep keys in and my passport if I use it for travelling. Perfect for shorthall flights.Has a few little slots for pens which is handy and I do actually use it. The kind of stuff I fit in there is a couple pairs of jeans, 2 or 3 t-shirt, a couple of jumpers, socks and underwear and a wash/travel bag full with productsHonestly highly recommend this bag!

This bag is exactly what I was looking for! Leather is great in touch and colour. It smells beautiful (if you like leather smell) and is not heavy. Inside you will find plenty of space but is not too big to!Very happy with the product.

I was very impressed with the quality of this duffel bag, my only concern is that it is in fact a little to large to go under an airplane seat and leave enough room for my feet with comfort, that providing it doesn't have to go on it's side !! I always put a main case in the hold and use hand luggage for the bits I need for the journey, plus some gluten free items like bread and other bits of food for my diet which would get crushed in the main hold or the overhead compartment, it would be nice to see this company do a bag a little smaller for a good customer choice..... hope they are listening!!
