Great so far!
Long time paper crafter here. I wanted to buy a guillotine paper trimmer this time around for my 12 inch paper and cardstock. I went with this model because We Are Memory Keepers has been around in the paper crafting world for a long time. So far I’ve been loving it! The blades are sharp. It’s easy for me to make my cuts and measure sizes accurately. It’s been functioning just as I need it to. It’s remarkably light which doesn’t bother me. It makes it easier for me to move it from its stash spot to my workspace. The only thing I would have liked to be different is how the handle/upper blade locks into place. You have to pull it slightly out to the right of the machine. I wonder if that will affect the closeness of the two blades over time?…. I would have preferred some sort of latch lock instead. But overall - loving it! Hope that helps!

Might be the best investment I've ever made.
So to start off, I am your typical do it your self, "at home" craft type of person. With that being said, I absolutely suck at cutting straight lines. Like to a point where I ruin pictures all the time because I end up cutting them 50 times before I get the lines straight. I am also very OCD. So this doesn't help that factor. So I decided to make my bf a scrapbook of a timeline of our relationship so far(he's into that mushy stuff). A few days in, I realized I suck and need a papercutter. I considered many other options. I also wanted something that I could throw in my bag and use for work too. I am a marketer and always am making cute things for the people I work with. This product came and literally I use it almost daily. It is small enough to fit perfectly in my drawer and light enough that I can take it anywhere with me. I cuts perfectly every time and the handle isn't heavy in the sense if you drop it too soon, it won't cut off what ever you are cutting. I can't say enough good things about this item. It holds an entire price of computer paper. It cuts through thick and thin, paper, cardstock, cards, photos. I haven't used to too much with multiple pages at once. It's quick and easy so I just don't find that I need to. I'm not sure if it would do well with multiple pages. But for what I use it for, it works great!

Works great
We use this for scrapbooking and other paper cutting. It works great and is a good size unless you’re cutting full pages. Cuts straight, lightweight, slim.

Great product, consider larger cutting size
Great and affordable cutter and is as described. I do recommend buying a bigger size though.

good but could be better
Was excite to get this especially because of the size, it was small and convenient to take on the go. The only problem is it doesn't cut as well as it should. When the paper is thin it doesn't cut well. Then again if the paper is very thick it also doesn't cut either. It is probably good for cutting small things like photos or scrapbooking which I haven't used for those yet. Overall its not terrible but could be improveed.

Perfect size and easy to use!
Most guillotine cutters are either large or small. This is a perfect size! Works well and is well-made!

Just right for card-making. Perfect size. Straight cuts.
I initially bought a small Fiskars guillotine trimmer and quickly realized that they missed the boat on that trimmer, because it only went out to 5". You couldn't measure out 1/2 of a letter-size piece of paper. What an oversight! This We R Memory Keepers trimmer is much better designed. You can cut the 11" side of a letter-size paper perfectly in half so that you can make two A2 cards. I'm finding my cuts to be very straight and accurate. Yay!

Nice, but the plastic guard is a flaw
I really liked this trimmer. The blade is sharp and cuts easily through paper and cardboard. There's even a nifty little mechanism to lock the blade down. The guide on top and the grid on the surface are also accurate. I cut grid paper into a smaller square to test it out.The fatal flaw is the flimsy plastic guard. There two big issues. The first is that it's very loose, so it tends to move around a lot. It does hold paper down when you press down on it, but the movement is distracting when trying to shave off just that little bit more. The other problem is that, unlike it's bigger version, the guard doesn't recede as you get up towards the guide on top. It does so at the bottom, but most people are likely going to use it from the top to make use of the ruler guide. This means that you really can't cut anything smaller than 2" wide unless you take the guard off. It's possible to take the guard off, but I worry about the longevity of the clasp holding the guard down if you're constantly readjusting. If you don't have a need to cut anything smaller than 2", then this would make a fine, accurate paper trimmer. If the plastic guard were fixed, this would be a 5.
