Great little radio
This is going to sound crazy, but I live on a farm and I raise a lot of chickens and I have found that when I play music for my chickens, I get more eggs and they seem to be calmer and happier. So when our older radio finally beat the dust, I decided to pick out this inexpensive model and give it a try. I was really surprised at the sound quality because it just it’s boom right there. It is plug-in power the reception even out in the henhouse is perfect. It’s black and you really don’t see it, and it was very inexpensive for the price that I paid. The volume works wonderful because we live here in Florida. It gets very hot and I have many fans running for the amount of chickens that I have to cool them down and I can turn the volume up 3/4 of the way and it plays over the the home of the fans. My chickens love it. I love it. It works great.

Solid. Practical. Functional size. Reaches stations.
Nice, solid, straightforward, portable radio with what seems like good reception, even without using the antenna necessarily. We are in a more remote rural area and it seems to function pretty well (compared to some others bought over the years) for capturing stations that sometimes are hard to tune-in well. Speaker is fine. We have it out in our barn, and it’s not going to fall apart with the changes in temperatures from the cold in our experience.

Does what it’s supposed to do.
This review gets right to the point: What you see is what you get. No fancy bells or whistles. Just a plain AM-FM radio with a touchy dial. The antenna works as it should, and the option for portable radio listeners is here with the option for batteries. The speakers are serviceable for a small area. A bit “tinny” sounding, but this isn’t a dealbreaker for this style of radio in the slightest. I wouldn’t recommend taking this to the beach, but for an end table or a small outdoor space it’s ideal. It also comes with a power cord for inside listening. I would recommend having this little portable radio for weather emergencies (power loss) or for small areas. It’s not for jamming out to, it’s more for staying informed and listening to a bit of music in a proper space.

I wanted tinny. This sounds real good for a 5w stereo.
Well after more time with it, here is why its not what I want, but it gets 5 stars: even on AM this thing will not turn into the busted FALLOUT noisebox I wanted. AM roughs it up a bit, but it still insists on being a clean, normal little stereo. It locks onto stations on FM and AM with almost no static to ride, so there is not much room to fake that drifting wasteland crackle. For a 5W unit it actually sounds very good: full volume is a little ragged but still totally listenable, and it is not tinny at all. What I wanted was the bass gone and the treble slammed, some “retro” mode that strips the low end and leaves thin, sharp mids. What I actually have is a heavy, solid shop radio where the power matches the speakers and the midrange sits perfect for country. The big surprise is reception: whatever they did with the antenna, it walks all over my DeWalt stereos. Not as loud, but it grabs stations and hangs on. So I am still annoyed there is no FALLOUT static box hiding in here, but for the price it is hard to argue with what it does well. Remember, radio ONLY, FM AM, thats IT, no aux, nothing. I think the fact its simple means the money actually went into what matters, and you can feel it in the weight of it, even though its exactly the size you would expect. Buy one, or three. Now I have to find a crappier product. What a weird review.

Excellent Sound Quality
The tone and range is wonderful. Now my husband and I have music when we have dinner. It is small enough to perch on top of the microwave, but the quality of the music is excellent. I wish I had bought this long ago. I didnt realize how much I missed music in my life. It is beyond worth the price.

Good radio
Had the radio for about 6 months and it works well. Appreciate the simple knobs for easy adjustment, the option of batteries or plug in for power, and connects to all our stations. It’s lightweight and easy to move around the house.
