Wasted my time and my money.
I have never given a 1-star rating to anything I've ever bought, so this is a first.Let me first state that I am a DIYer, my garage is a shop, I've built and created many things, so adding a binding to a carpet shouldn't be a big issue.I ordered the marine-grade navy blue binding to go with my new boat carpet, also marine grade. The only good thing about this is the material is a solid and high quality canvas, looks like a sunbrella material. But that's where the quality stop. This product uses a two-sided stick-tape where one side is stuck to the binding, and the other side is to stick to the underside of the carpet. Additionally the manufacturer recommends (or maybe requires) the use of hot-glue to further stick it to the carpet. The two-sided tape stuck to my carpet without a problem. But it doesn't adhere well to the binding itself. In fact, it kept peeling off. Also, the tape is quite thin in width compare to the overall width of the binding.Improvements needed: Adhere the doubleside tape to the canvas better, make sure it can't be peeled off. Better yet, stitch the double sided tape to the binding itself. Also, provide a wider self-stick tape, almost the full width of the binding material. My project was a bust. The binding didn't hold at all, and I had to use a large amount of hot glue to adhere to the carpet, especially along the piping which the glue is now noticeable. Also for the price, it's pretty steep, and at this cost it would have been less expensive for me to go to a custom carpet/canvas marine shop and fabricate a carpet, binding, and install it. I spend a good 10 hours to attach about 95 feet of binding. So ultimately, it wasn't worth it because it failed to adhere to the carpet at any level. I wind up throwing my new carpet and all the binding away as at this point it didn't look good at all.

Did not stick . . . Threw it out!
Adhesive backing missing on a good portion of it. Did not stick to the carpet. I think this was old.
