The first thing I noticed when I received my Airecoler GT-X5 Commercial Dehumidifier was the incredible packaging. The four high strength banding straps which are commonly used for reinforcing such heavy boxes were also secured with packing tape to ensure they wouldn't move. The thick styrofoam packing inside, which was also reinforced with four more additional straps, would definitely protect the unit inside even if the heavy duty box were damaged during shipping. I carefully remove the unit and set it on a table to settle for 24 hours as the instructions stated to do. I was amazed at the quality and build of this unit. It is truly a commercial dehumidifier as advertised. No cheap plastic parts at all. The enclosure is all metal and solidly built. The filter is also housed in a sturdy metal mesh frame. One additional thing. Enclosed with the instruction manual is a dated inspection sticker. Now that's nice! After 24 hours I plugged it in and pushed the on off button to turn it on. The compressor was noticeably more powerful than those in the other branded plastic units that have been going bad on me one after another. The fan was set to low and I left it there as it seemed to be sufficient for my size basement. In the past I have used small fans to circulate the air around the basement for my cheaper dehumidifiers. The blowing power of this unit's fan even at the low speed is more than sufficient to circulate air throughout my 1800 square foot basement without the aid of additional fans. I set the humidity level at 55% on the unit knowing that it should turn off when satisfied. The humidity read 65% on the unit's control panel so I knew it would take some time to bring the basement's humidity down. Once on, it started pulling moisture out of the air almost immediately. The first thing I check on any new dehumidifier is to see that all of the coils are drawing moisture. This hasn't been the case on some cheaper units. I looked at the coils from top to bottom and they were all collecting moisture which they should. The control panel is very basic. I like that. Self-explanatory; you can set it to turn on and off depending on the humidity or have it run constantly along with a normal or high blower speed. I left it on low which is fine for me. After running for a few hours, I felt the unit which was surprisingly cool to the touch as was the AC plug going into the wall outlet. No overheating whatsoever. By the next morning, I'd say 12 hours of running, the GT-X5 brought my basement from 65% down to 55% humidity. Now that the dehumidifier has been satisfied it shuts off automatically maintaining that 55% humidity level. I am draining my unit from the hose into a 5 gallon bucket which I empty at the end of the day. I extended the hose to the bucket in a straight declining fashion in order to achieve proper drainage. One can also choose to run the hose into a sump pump or sink drain if you elevate the unit accordingly. I have been running this unit for a week now and have had absolutely no issues. It is maintaining the basement's humidity level at 55% which I had set it to. My basement has never felt dryer. I highly recommend this Airecoler GT-X5 Commercial Dehumidifier as, hands down, it is the best dehumidifier I've ever purchased in my lifetime.

We installed this dehumidifier in our supermarket where the air conditioning alone wasn’t enough to control humidity, especially during busy hours and hot days. This unit made a huge difference. After running it, the air feels much drier and more comfortable. Floors are less slippery, products stay in better condition, and the overall environment is noticeably improved. It pulls moisture out very efficiently and works continuously without any issues. The commercial build is solid, and the drain hose setup makes it easy for long-term operation. For spaces like supermarkets, storage areas, or any commercial location with high humidity, this dehumidifier solves a big part of the problem when AC can’t keep up. Highly recommended for commercial use.

This dehumidifier works extremely well and noticeably reduced moisture in our basement within the first day. It’s easy to set up with the drain hose, runs steadily, and handles large spaces without any issues. Solid, reliable performance overall and a great choice for serious moisture control.

I’ve had this dehumidifier running for a few weeks now, and so far, I’m very impressed with its performance. It’s built solidly and has been pulling a surprising amount of moisture out of my basement air. The difference in humidity is noticeable—my basement feels drier, smells fresher, and is much more comfortable overall. Over the past five years, I’ve gone through several dehumidifiers from various brands. Most didn’t even last a full year, either due to compressor failure or poor build quality. This time, I decided to spend a bit more and go with a heavier-duty model, hoping for better durability and long-term value. The upfront cost was definitely higher, but based on what I’m seeing so far, it seems like a worthwhile investment. I did run into a minor issue with the first unit I received—it wasn’t working correctly right out of the box. I contacted the manufacturer’s customer service via email, and I was genuinely impressed with how responsive and helpful they were. They got back to me quickly, walked me through a couple of basic checks, and when those didn’t resolve the issue, they shipped me a replacement unit immediately. I had the new one in hand in less than a week, and it’s been working perfectly ever since. Thanks, Aya for your help and quick resolution to my issue!!! Aside from that initial hiccup, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The unit is doing exactly what I hoped it would. If it continues to perform this well over the long term, it will easily be the best dehumidifier I’ve owned.

This is after 1 year of use: It's been left on for the entire year. The setup we're using is still the same. - While always left on, it didn't operate during the winter (NE) as there is no humidity. - It maintains a consistent humidity level of 47% as measured by a meter placed approximately 25 ft. from the dehumidifier. - The humidity level indicated on the dehumidifier is still way off, but that's not a problem for us as we really want to know what the level is throughout the entire room anyway. - It stays on only for a brief period (approx. 3 minutes) even on the worst days but was on for several hours initially until the desired level was achieved. - Our dryer is still vented in the basement, and you don't notice it. The dehumidifier coupled with the drain pump makes it a no fuss system. The basement went from smelling like a teenagers worn sock and has become our go-to place when we want a cool and dry refuge from the outdoor heat and humidity. While I wouldn't keep this unit in our living space (unless you're into the industrial look), it certainly has done the job, and I highly recommend. Days of operation: 45 The setup: The unit is placed in the basement on a table approx. 2.5 ft. off the floor. The output hose drains into an automatic condensate removal pump. Performance: The good: This thing dries a room! So much so, we had salt residue over the entire basement floor because it drew water from the concrete. Initially it ran continuously until the desired humidity level (50%) was achieved (approx. 2 days). Since then, it rarely operates and maintains a consistent level of 47 -49% humidity. We even vent the dryer in the basement. The not so great: 1. The hose supplied with the unit is a corrugated plastic tube. We opted to replace this with a clear and smooth bore 5/8" tubing so there would be no chance of water accumulating and we could observe if the hose required cleaning due to yuck (technical term) growing. 2. We also purchased a humidity meter and placed it across the room and the readings on the dehumidifier is 15% higher. 5 stars for dehumidification and 3 stars for their meter. Hope it lasts.
