DEWALT DE6950-XJ-Pinza 6,0mm DW620/1-OF97/E /D26204K

As my proficiency and technical skill with my router has increased i have expanded my selection of router bits accordingly. A recent project required a specialist bit that only came in a 6mm shaft size. I was loathe to purchase it unless I could get a Dewalt 6mm collet specific to my DCW600, i would not have gone ahead. The collet is of a different design to both the 1/4" and 8mm collets that come as standard but it fits perfectly and I have used it extensively to complete a project for my workshop. a highly recommended addition to the DCW600 and frankly should come as part of the suite of accessories for the unit. Highly recommended, a tad pricey but fit for purpose and did not damage or impair my use of the router.

Fits perfectly into the DCW600 and nips down on 6mm shank bits nicely using a 17mm spanner. 100% recommend

My router, the D26204 came with a ¼” collet. In the UK I think it is fair to say that 99% of bits can be bought to fit that size but some manufacturers only produce metric bits with a metric collet. In most cases it doesn’t matter if a bit is metric or not, but there are a few times when it does. Cutting a slot for example, you may very specifically need metric if something is to fit in that slot. If you want a specific manufacturers bit then you may find yourself needing a metric collet. It’s rare, but it does happen. This is not a collet the average person will need but is useful to have just in case. Collets are expensive but worth it.
