Looks Good BUT!
The unit itself seems rugged enough though it would be better if it had a back plate. You could then stick it in place with double sided tape BEFORE you start drilling holes in an expensive French door. It's also heavier than I expected. One note is the serrations on the plunger used to lock it in place seem too fine or small for the task. We'll see how well they last in my application. One big complaint are the screws that came with it. Totally inadequate! The little screw for the top position might go into the door a whole eighth of an inch. While the longer ones for the bottom two positions will reach slightly over a quarter inch into the door. I went and replaced these with longer ones at the local ACE hardware for less than a buck. But I should not have had to! Might want to get a fresh pilot drill bit for the screws at the same time.

Very solid design
I use these on a pair of double swinging doors into my wood shop. It has only been a few days since I installed them, but they are SO much nicer than fussing with wedges. They were easy to install and will work well on slightly sloped floors as they have small notches allowing them to lock at nearly any point of their vertical travel. They are also robustly built and I believe they will provide many years of 'Doorman' service.

Stylish, Sturdy and Easy to Use
There is much to like about these door stops compared to others on the market. The design is excellent and the construction is sturdy. The large rubber top surface of the stop pin is easy to find with your foot, and comfortable to use. The bottom tip of the stop pin is a softer rubber that compresses a bit and grips well on even smooth surfaces. The front edge of the stop pin has tiny grooves so that the locking plate holds the pin in place without slipping, yet releases easily with a tap. This device has smooth corners and a nice satin finish - much nicer than others. My actual use was to secure a rolling kitchen cabinet so that it could be rolled easily with the pins retracted but secured for use with the pins extended. They work great for this, so securing a door in place would be a breeze for these.

It works
This door stop works, period. It is clunky looking on the door but was easy to install.

Works well, looks great.Purchased another one but it was black!
Bought one a year ago in silver aluminum for our house on the self closing door to the garage. Looks and works great, so bought another one for my daughter's new house. Listed as aluminum in color but when it arrived, it was black. The box said aluminum. Sent it back and reordered another one but it came the same black with the box labeled as aluminum also. Must be mispacked at the factory for the whole lot. Beware. I guess I'll just keep the black instead of doing another reorder. Daughter says it's OK.
