As a beginner to the ranks of Wet Shaving i may not know much about the quality of items but here goes. The blade came in shave ready. I found it easy to hold and it left my a clean surface where it touch my face. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

The major thing to know about the razor is that it is very dull out of the box. So much stropping was required that I did several passes through a tungsten carbide sharpener. This did the trick and the razor is now ready to go. This product comes with a really nice leather/canvas strop. I bought this product and did not know that there was a strop included. This product also came with a brush and an offer (not advertised) for free shaving soap. I followed up on this offer and I receive my free soap in the mail UPS shipping w/ tracking, so I was very pleased with that. One thing that I am still currently neutral on is the 'weight'/'feeling' of the razor. Perhaps it just takes some getting used to, after all.. the handle is made out of steel also.

Dull. I bought this to use. Not for a decorative product. At least have it sharp when ordering. Couldn't cut a hair. Tried on my arm... nothing. Even bought a strap to sharpen straight razors. Lost in buying that as well. Just a shame. Wish it was sharp because it looks awesome. I was so excited to buy it...

Bought this for my dad for daddy's day and he loves it. It's sharp and smooth.

I find myself sharpening this straight razor more than I’d like.

Company claimed to have the blade honed in and sharp, this is the dullest razor I’ve ever seen; it would only work to cut warm butter. I’ve purchased a stone sharpening kit to hone it myself, so far I’ve probably spent over an hour of sharpening techniques used by barbers with 400 grit stone all the way to 8000 grit and a polishing strop. Nothing has worked to sharpen this blade; terrible purchase.
