Q: Is it safe to drink from the gold foil rim?

The rim is a type of metallic paint, now a foil. As this was a gift, I didn’t drink from it. However, I have similarly painted Gevalia coffee mugs that I have used for years. I’m still here😃. Well worth the cost.

Q: Why did the price go up $5 within 20 minutes? I looked at this then went back & it had gone up. Not happy.

I had hoped to give this as part of a wedding gift, but unfortunately the cups arrived chipped. I should have heeded the warnings of previous posters. Otherwise, the item is cute and true to listing photo.
