Not for overlanding. Fits two batteries, poor structural mounting design
Product is a good start but is not durable and damaged vehicle. 2 years of use. Installed easy, came with necessary parts. The electronics/solenoid part are good and the metal carrier looks good & fits well and is still working today. HOWEVER the mounting feet are not designed to carry the weight of the two batteries in driving conditions other than highway. The weight of two batteries, the carrier, electronics and bits concentrates all weight on four raised feet on the bottom of the carrier that are bolted using supplied fittings to wheel well sheetmeyal. I have had one foot break (see photo) and have had other feet split the inner wheel well metal damaging the truck. The mfg should have considered the following when manufacturing and testing the cars 1) dynamic loads 2) original battery mounting which distributes the battery weight 3) the bolt fittings provided and thickness of wheel well sheet metal 4) other thing that engineers think about. The carrier is now sitting on a modified 2x10 and is only bolted on two out of three remaining feet, the third leg destroyed the wheel well so it’s just hanging around doing nothing, and a ratchet strap has been required to be used to secure the unbolted end to the frame of the car. Additionally I have had to make solid rubber bumpers (see pic with finger) to wedge between the carrier and front structural member of the truck to prevent further flexing of the carrier and batteries into the corner of the radiator. A solid base, versus four legs would have been a way better design with a cross brace that mounts to the front structural member. Definitely not for dynamic driving situations and off-roading/overlanding

Dont waste your money for the Tundra kit
Installed the battery tray only to find the stock cables from the fuse block and the starter were 3-4" too short after having raised the batteries with this kit. Emailed Genesis and while I didnt expect them to resolve my issue, I did expect a minimal level of customer service and a willingness to pitch in with ideas. All I heard was crickets. Now I have to extend my stock cables to make this work.
