Great Image, Excellent Display Mode and Bargain Price
Improvements must have been made since many of the reviews as I find the viewing angle (both up-and-down and side-to-side) very good. The screen is bright with excellent resolution. It is easy to hang on a wall.I use the frame to display tens of thousands of photos in "slideshow" mode. The factory settings for slideshow mode are exactly what I wanted with random display the default and about 30 seconds display for each photo. I do not use the video or audio features and cannot comment on these. The aspect ratio matches that of my most recent digital camera (a Nikon) so there is neither clipping nor distortion. For those who want to display photos and format them for best display and smallest size you should use an image size of 1280 x 800 at 107 DPI (dots per inch). DPI is not specified in the manual but both measurement of the screen and some web searching regarding screens of this size confirm.I like that the slideshow is different each time the unit is turned on. While it's difficult to tell with so many photos and only a couple days of use it seems that the slideshow is conducted by displaying every photo in the collection a single time (in random order) with the next cycle finding them displayed in a different order. Again this is exactly what I wanted and very much different than the one it replaced. This replaced a far more expensive NIX digital frame that died what I consider to be an early death due to failure of the one internal component manufactured by NIX. I find it superior in every way to the NIX.

Out of the box screen damaged /( Edit) I got a replacement
Wow first time out of the box broken product for me . It's as if someone did a switcheroo because the only thing that look abused is the monitor. And to add insult to injury this was a wedding gift that was opened well after the refund date . What I can say is that if your pictures and videos are on the proper format for this , everything will run fine . The sounds quality it's okay , honestly it's better than what I thought it would be . I had no problems with the motion sensors or remote . and finally the power cord is not that long and you can't Mount this to a wall without some type of special setup. I honestly would give us a solid 4 stars if it wasn't for the screen being damaged, hopefully I can work out something and get a replacement. (Edit update) Well I got a new digital Frame and it all around good ,from the sounds to the picture quilty .

Good picture quality but the stand broke.
I like everything about this frame except for the plastic, heart-shaped stand that is inserted into a hole in the back. The stand has two tabs like a key, which you twist to lock after inserting it into the hole. It is not easy to twist, and the tabs broke off, so I have no way to stand it up on a table, except by leaning it on something behind it. I will try to fix it or look for a picture stand that can be attached to the back with adhesive.

Thought it was dead, until....
I thought I have a big problem with I first tried to use this Digital Photo Frame (real men don't need to read instructions) after I swallowed my pride and ego I found out how easy it was to use. I still need to work on the size of some pictures I want to see on this frame. All in all it is very good and larger than some. I deducted 1 Star for the slow wireless response to the controller and set up.

The viewing angle is very narrow.
For the price, it's a big display. However, the display has a very narrow viewing angle and pictures appear a little washed out. Adjusting the Brightness doesn't help.I bought this for my mother and it's right next to an older smaller viewer. The viewing angle of the smaller 5 year old unit is very good. This one needs to be viewed straight on. If you're not looking at it straight on, it's hard to see. It looks like it's made with the same screen technology lap tops had 10 years ago. It works but I'll probably shop for a replacement.

good quality for the price
I have been using this for about 3 months. Overall it runs well, and the resolution/picture quality is good. I am not sure if it supposed to be able to run randomly movies an pictures, It looks like it doesn't. I have movies and pictures on the same memory stick and it setup to start and stop at a certain hour. It always starts with the same movie and runs just movies, unless I push the picture button on the remote to switch to pictures. Also, doesn't memorize the last picture/movie, it starts all over again if you setup a start/stop time.

A+ for Service!
After posting my original review (below), a customer service rep emailed me 2-3 times offering to send me a new screen. Initially, I did not bother because I doubted that it would work any better. However, I was wrong. When I finally relented, this seller expedited a new screen to me, and the internal programming had been upgraded to fix the problem stated below. This bumped my review up a couple of stars. And I give them 5 stars overall for their determination to make it right for me. This is above and beyond what I expected!Original Review:Love the picture size and clarity. And the price.I was disappointed that portrait pictures played landscape even after I painstakingly rotated them. It was difficult because the remote was awkward to use.

Not Worth the Money
As consumers, we sometimes fool ourselves into believing that the more expensive a product is, the better it must be. Don't be fooled by this one.First, the frame has no storage capacity, so you must use a plug-in device (like a USB memory stick) to store your photos and permanently attach it to this device.Second, the picture quality isn't great. If you look at the frame from the slightest angle, the quality is much worse.Third, there are no effects (zoom, fade, etc.) for the transitions between photos. It's just one photo popping up after another.I bought a frame for half the price for my in-laws a few years ago, and the quality and features were much better than this unit. I should have just bought the same one. Lesson learned.UPDATE: Since my review I have been contacted by this company. They gave me the option to return the item or replace it with a free upgrade.
