Bought these to grow my Bonsai trees in. These baskets have been great. They have been holding up very well outdoors in the elements. No cracking or even any sun fade. I will be buying another round for my next set of trees next growing season. I will say this, bonsai soil over time compacts and some water does get trapped in the baskets. Drill holes on the sides and tip after watering and all excess water drips out.

These are thinner than ones I normally buy at the home improvement store but you do get eight of them. The holes are small, which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on what you are using them for. I plant them to create floating shade for my fish pond. They can also be used in my shallow ponds to create cover for crawfish and smaller fish. They are about 68 cents cheaper per basket (even with shipping built in) than at my local store. At $4 each, I can live with the thinner plastic. It really depends on what you are using them for. The baskets will be enough to protect roots from fish.
